Abstract

The present study aims to evaluate PSYCHOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS and Standardizing of HEALTH LEVEL FAMILY-OF-ORIGIN SCALE.For this purpose, 469 students were recruited randomly from Allameh Tabatabe'i University and the scale was administered to this sample. The reliability of the scale was calculated which were 0.89 in primary and 0.92 in final stage, while re-test coefficient was 0.89 after tow weeks. Content validity was gained through evaluation based on 30 interviewees.The validity for the scale based on perception level of family health obtained through respondents were 0.64 based on Pearson Coefficient Method, and correlation of scale to the question of "warm and supporting family" was 0.63.Exploratory factor analysis was used for calculation of structural validity. Correlations for all questions were more than 0.30. Analysis of creating factors of two main components (autonomy and INTIMACY) revealed major overlapping of two subscales for the components. Accordingly, we concluded that this measure is qualified to be utilized to evaluate health of family-of-origin for university students.
