Abstract

Introduction: Medical malpractice and violations and following that litigation by patients and finally recycling by them, is faced doctors and medical community with the growing crisis. Medical malpractice, i. e., abuse of the specific requirements of the medical profession has the responsibility of doctor In fact, Including diagnosis and treatment and disease management mistakes Materials and Methods: In this study, it used data of seven years old complaints about facial Cosmetic Surgery that referred to forensic medicine of Fars province within 1385 to 92 years. Results: In this study, 34. 5% of complaints were men. Most physicians (57. 4%) were specialist, and then was subspecialists (27. 8%). Most frequent type of expertise is related to ENT specialists (50. 9%), followed by plastic surgeons (29. 1%). According to the results, 60% of physicians were acquitted and 40% were sentences. The Rhinoplasty was the most frequent complaint among the plaintiffs in 32 cases (58. 2%). Conclusion: Since most of claims ultimately led to the exoneration of doctors It is necessary to before of surgical treatment especially Cosmetic Surgery complications and problems specific to this type of operation is fully explained to the patient. However doctors in surgical procedures should apply the utmost care and expertise.
