Abstract

 GERMAN: Der Begriff des Fundamentalismus wird zunehmend inflationä r gebraucht. Zugleich entwickelt er sich zu einem politischen Kampfbegriff gegen ethni-sche und religiö se Minderheiten. In der politischen Rhetorik tritt der Fun-damentalismusbegriff die Nachfolge des Kommunismus als Schreckge-spenst und Feindbildpropaganda an. Inzwischen bezeichnen sich unter Fundamentalismusverdacht Gestellte manchmal stolz selber als Fundamen-talisten und kehren so den Spieß um, wie auch › Black people‹ in den USA, › Schwule‹ und › Kanaken‹ aus Schimpfwö rtern Bezeichnungen entwickelt
