Abstract

As a small Persian Gulf country composed of seven emirates, UAE has been exponentially growing in recent decades in terms of economy, attraction of investments, adoption of novel technologies, purchase of arms and joining the countries with nuclear reactors. As a result, this country has opted for a more aggressive Foreign Policy. The impacts of UAE developments, particularly the Sheikhdom’ s normalization of ties with the Zionist Regime on the Security of Iran and by extension the whole region is an important issue which has been further complicated in view of the region’ s political-Security approach that is informed by the US troops withdrawal, RUSsian return to the region and Chinese involvement as a new actor. In an attempt to address the elements of UAE’ s role in the West Asia, this paper follows this theory that expanded UAE’ s involvement in the West Asia and the Persian gulf in driven by its desire to actively participate in regional engagements and upgrade its activism. Also, countering the regional influence of Iran and meeting Abu Dhabi’ s political and Security needs is at the core of UAE’ s compromise with the Zionist Regime. Abu Dhabi’ s compromise with the Zionist Regime is an important key word that could prompt changes in political and Security structure of region and expedite determining the fate and prospects of the Occupied Palestine and the Zionist Regime. This research first addresses the fields of involvement of UAE and then looks into its Security-political structure in competition with Neo-Ottomanism and the Axis of Resistance. In conclUSion, reasons and roots of UAE compromise with the Zionist Regime are explored. This is a descriptive-analytical research that has employed library and documentary information gathering methodology.
