Abstract

In semiarid areas such as Torbathydaria north east part of Iran where less precipitation and its high coefficient variations and high potential of evaporation-transpo are observed, and where rainy and growing seasons are not coincident, issues like water economy is more important than water itself.In these areas and with aim of regional development, optimum utilization of water through changing in crop types, improvement of natural infrastructure and improvement of economical aspects are studied with the use of remote sensing and GIS.
