Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine Iranian scholars’ attendance in international conferences from 2000 to 2016. SCIENTOMETRIC method was used in this research. The findings show an approximately increasing trend in the amount of conference papers. Iran has the most collaboration with the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Development and SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTIVITY are two effective factors in collaboration with other countries. There is a significant correlation between SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTIVITY of a country and its scientific collaboration. The majority of papers presented in conferences were in the following subject areas respectively: computer science, electrical and electronics engineering, and telecommunication. In general, engineering fields have the most papers in conference proceedings, comparing to journals, in which basic sciences has the most papers. There is a significant correlation between conference papers and journal papers in engineering fields.
