Abstract

This descriptive study has been performed to assess the application rate of B.C.G vaccine at 40 HEALTH CENTERs of ILAM medical university. The samples were 40 people selected by a census method.The findings implied the vaccination technique used at most the centers (45%) proved good quality. The least (25%) had average quality .Most the units (47.5%) showed good activity in preserving and keeping the vaccines as well as in observing cold chains. The least (15%) had average quality. The coverage level was also good at most of the units (62.5%). Further more, poor action was reported at no unit. The majority of the units (60%) had already passed anti TB. courses. A significant relation was seen between the units and some of their specifications such as education level and residential situation (P<0.05). In general, the results showed that B.C.G application at these centers was acceptable, while there were problems with needed possibilities, education level, supervision and control which necessitate some measures by related bodies.
