Abstract

THIS INVESTIGATION WAS DONE FOR THE STUDY AND DETERMINATION OF THE WATER QUALITY ON THE BESHAR RIVER BASED ON POLLUTION CRITERIA. THE BESHAR RIVER APPROXIMATELY WITH 190 KM LENGTH IS LOCATED IN KOHKILOYE AND BOYERAHMAD PROVINCE. ITS GEOGRAPHICAL POSITIONS ARE 51° 20´ TO 51° 48´ E AND 30° 18´ TO 30° 52´ N. IN THIS STUDY 5 SAMPLING STATION WERE SELECTED TO THE STUDY OF THE WATER QUALITY AND POLLUTANT SOURCES ON THE BESHAR RIVER. IN THIS STUDY IMPORTANT PARAMETERS OF POLLUTION CRITERIA WERE ANALYZED. AS THE RESULTS HAVE SHOWN, IN THE STATION NUMBER 4 THE WATER POLLUTION IS THE HIGHEST AND THE WATER QUALITY IS THE LOWEST IN COMPARE TO ANOTHER STATION (P<0.05).
