Abstract

Among those who made remarkable studies concerning Quran in the past centuries and especially in the present time are ORIENTALISTs. ORIENTALISTs are not at the same level with respect to their purposes and MOTIVATIONS and as a result in their thoughts and SCIENTIFIC works; rather, they consist of a vast spectrum of hostile malicious to fair researcher. ORIENTALISTs' Quranic studies are often based on principles and criteria whose results become unacceptable to Muslims. This essay is an attempt in order to present chief purposes and functions of ORIENTALISTs in their Quranic studies as well as a description of necessity of its pathology.
