THE PROTECTION AND DEPROTECTION OF ALCOHOLS IS A COMMON EVENT IN MULTI-STEP ORGANIC SYNTHESES AND TETRAHYDROPYRANYLATION (THP) IS ONE OF THE MOST FREQUENTLY EMPLOYED METHODS.
