Abstract

 NOWADAYS, USE OF SUSTAINABLE ENERGIES IS APROMISING METHOD TOWARDS PRODUCTION OF EVER-INCREASING NEED OFENERGY, AMONG THEM SOLAR CELLS ARE ONE OF THE CLEANEST AND THEMOST COST EFFECTIVE POSSIBILITIES. POLYMER SOLAR CELLS (PSCS) ARENEW GENERATION OF SOLAR CELLS IN WHICH THE ACTIVE LAYER ISCOMPOSED OF A SEMI-CONDUCTING POLYMER. THESE MODULES AREEXPOSED TO AMBIENT CONDITIONS INCLUDING LIGHT, OXYGEN ANDHUMIDITY THAT ACCELERATE THE DEGRADATION RATE OF POLYMERIC ACTIVELAYERS; I.E. POLYMER DECOMPOSITION, HOWEVER LONG OPERATIONALLIFETIME OF THEM IS HIGHLY DESIRED. IN THIS PAPER NANOTECHNOLOGYBASED METHODS, BY WHICH THE DEGRADATION RATE OF POLYMER SOLARCELLS IS REDUCED, ARE PRESENTED.
