Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: CELLS OF INNATE IMMUNE SYSTEM (E.G.: PHAGOCYTES, NEUTROPHILS, MONOCYTES AND MACROPHAGES, DENDRITIC CELLS, NK CELLS, GD- T-CELLS AND NON HEMATOPOIETIC CELLS SUCH AS EPITHELIAL AND ENDOTHELIAL CELLS) RECOGNIZED AND BIND COMPONENTS OF FUNGAL CELL WALLS USING PATTERN RECOGNITION RECEPTORS (PRRS) ON THEIR SURFACE. THE PRESENT STUDY AIMED TO SYSTEMATICALLY REVIEW ON STUDIES THE ROLE OF PRR RECEPTORS ON IMMUNE RESPONSES AGAINST THE PATHOGENIC FUNGI.
