Abstract

This study compared the effects of LIFE SKILLS on LIFE SATISFACTION of male and female first year high school students. The population consisted of all 583 first year high school students in Bandrgaz city. Using Morgan Table, the sample size appeared to be 226. The research tool included 20 items in five areas of LIFE SKILLS, TRAINING, guidance, with reliability coefficient 0.87. Data collection and library studies were used to determine the content validity of questionnaire and formal opinions of supervisors, the consultant were also gathered. For data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential were used. The results rejected the null hypothesis with 95% confidence. It was proved that LIFE SKILLS affect the boys and girls’ LIFE SATISFACTION. The results also showed that TRAINING of LIFE SKILLS has different effects on boys and girls. Furthermore, the results showed that self awareness, stress control, interpersonal communication and empathy and social consciousness of students affect students’ LIFE SATISFACTION. Finally, creative and critical thinking of students do not effect their LIFE SATISFACTION.
