Abstract

The present article has been taken of a research which its main goal was to determine the investigation of dropout students’ motivation who participate distance and ADULT EDUCATION centers. The population (12500 students) was the whole DISTANCE EDUCATION and ADULT EDUCATION students in some cities of Tehran Province. The sample (800 students) was chosen using random cluster sampling. The measurement tool was a researcher-made questionnaire with 34 items. The reliability index of piloting was 0.95 which proved the reliability of the tool using cronbach’s Alpha. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and referential statistics. The results showed that the reasons of leaving schools contain financial problems and family problems and also the educational system. The motivation of participating in the courses were strengthening social personality, academic degrees, the family and friends’ persistence, and promotion professional status.
