The purpose of this paper is to assess the current situation and the strategic pattern of teleworking in governmental agencies. In order to collect the required data, 110 questionnaires concerning factors which influence adoption of teleworking collected and analyzed. The data collection was being done in the Ministry of Commerce headquarters in Tehran. Based on the research model, factors affecting the adoption of teleworking are being investigated in seven categories using correlation and regression analysis: The attitude of the staff, teleworking infrastructures, nature of work, organizational design, social and environmental concerns, increasing capacity of employing the labor force, and staff awareness of the benefits of teleworking. The results showed that The attitude of the staff, teleworking infrastructures, social and environmental concerns, increasing capacity of employing the labor force, and staff awareness of the benefits of teleworking has a significant positive impact on the adoption of teleworking, although the nature of work and organizational design has no significant effect on the adoption of teleworking.

The concept of organizational performance over the past two decades has been at the center of developments in public administration and has become a major goal. Information and communication technology, the increasing prosperity, and large impacts on all facets of society, including labor and employment, have led to the phenomenon of teleworking (i.e. the work done at a distance). On the other hand, human resources, quality of life and burnout are among the most important issues that impact organizational performance and the trend toward telecommuting. In this research, using a descriptive method, a model is provided to evaluate various aspects of teleworking, organizational performance, burnout and quality of life as well as to consider their impacts on organizational performance. The study involved all the employees of the government agencies in Yazd including 3, 000 people. As many as 342 were selected from the whole initial population using a simple random sampling method. To analyze the data, structural equation modeling is used. The results of the data analysis show that there is a significant relationship between quality of life and organizational performance, between teleworking and organizational performance, between burnout and organizational performance, and between burnout and teleworking period at the coefficients of 0.584, 0.369, 0.281, and 0.572 respectively. However, quality of life and teleworking are found to be correlated not significantly; the correlation coefficient is 0.102. The results also suggest that, with regard to quality of life and burnout, providing conditions for telework can increase organizational performance.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the role of social capital in promoting telecommuting. Creating and developing telecommuting requires cultural infrastructure more than anything else, because it not only affects people's social and work lives, but also their family and personal lives. The concept of social capital focuses on human relationships. Relationships that flow in all moments of daily life and during human life and affect its behavior and attitude. In general, the concept of social capital can be expressed in the following phrases (communication is important. People connect with each other to do things that they alone are either unable to do or will have many problems to do). As a result, despite the high social capital, it will be possible to promote telecommuting.

Tele-working is part of the new world jobs. Such a work style that has gained a lot of adherents in very recent years is depended on the Information technology (IT) effective utilization. Information technology (IT) is an auxiliary to promote such a work style but to attain it; other factors should be considered; alike, organization, work identity, the employee characters, life style, gender and… Beside the advantages and benefits of such a work style there have been consequences for individuals, families and organizations that must be taken in to concern. The women employment status, Tele-working implementation, negative and positive consequences for the women and their families caused by such a work style were reviewed in the present paper. Tele-working donated the home locus opportunity to women to stay beside the family while stimulatingly carrying out house keeping, child nurturing tasks and their job duties, but this might cause some problems for the women and their families.

This study aimed to investigate the role of power distance and individualism on beliefs about teleworking and job stress in the teleworking conditions of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. This research is applied in terms of purpose, quantitative in nature, and descriptive-survey in terms of method. The statistical population consists of all employees of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, totaling 550 individuals. The sample size was calculated using the Morgan table, resulting in 225 participants. The sampling method was proportional stratified sampling. Data collection was conducted through a standardized questionnaire. For data analysis and hypothesis testing, descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation, and the software SPSS and PLS 3 were used. The results showed that power distance affects beliefs about the effectiveness of teleworking and teleworking isolation, and individualism influences beliefs about the effectiveness and isolation of teleworking. Beliefs about the effectiveness of teleworking do not mediate the relationship between individualism and job stress. However, beliefs about teleworking isolation have a mediating role in the relationship between individualism and job stress.
