Abstract: 

Iranian ports spent a considerable sum on dredging each year. It is of a great importance to evaluate the dredged material volumes and to ensure that dredging was done on required place.This paper tries to provide a method for assessment of the volume of dredged material which satisfies the following conditions:The theoretical background should be acceptable.Independently applicable by the contractor, supervisor and the port authority.Repeatable, so could be done by a third party, in case of disagreement between the contractor and the supervisor.Has the potential to be announced as the unique procedure in the PMO and all commercial ports.It could be used to estimate the fairly accurate volume of the dredging material before the operation.Use the existing technologies and does not impose heavy costs.The main idea of this paper is to provide a method for processing the hydrography data to estimate the fairly accurate volume of the dredging material before the operation and to measure it during the operation or afterward.To accomplish this, by using Delaunay triangulation, three mathematical surfaces are shaped namely the original surface, the simulated surface and the dredged one.The figures are calculated by measuring the difference between the original and the simulated surfaces and the difference between the original and the dredged surfaces.

Abstract: 

While it is very easy to evaluate different factors of the port development in view of construction and management, supporting elements of the port are adherent to variables which are out of the control out of port authorities; therefore, this paper tries to recognize these elements, compare different port development models, select the best logistic and development model, and investigate the priority of creating some zones as developed areas in the regions separated from the ports which are capable of presenting advanced logistic services with the aim of easing movements and increase satisfaction of customers in long-term and short-term. Port development to a the large extent depends on the port location and infrastructures like authorized land, local and regional facilities, industrial centers, geographical situation, and environment play greater role than other indexes. The first reason for selecting Bandar-Anzali is its priority for the development of logistic activity zone (LAZ) and then the development of dry port (DR) and finally the logistic park (LP).

Abstract: 

This paper tries to investigate the effects of perception of organizational justice on organizational citizenship behavior. This research is established based on Civil Service Management Code which could be considered as the provider of justice in the organizations that comply with this Code except some special instances mentioned by the legislature.This research is an applicable descriptive-analytical study and survey data collection method is used to gather required information. Sample of this study consists of 186 of 359 employees of Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) and Customs Administration (IRICA). Data collection and analysis tools are questionnaire, Anova test, Duncan test and SPSS Program.While similar national and foreign studies have been revealed that perception of distributive justice has the ability to partially explain organizational citizenship behavior; this study suggests that perception of distributive justice has no significant effect on the organizational citizenship behavior (confidence of 95%). But results for other aspects of organizational justice like perception of interpersonal justice, perception of informational justice and perception of procedural justice are same as the results of other studies because organizational citizenship behavior is a voluntary behavior and it is greatly influenced by the behavior and interaction of supervisors as well as the organizational policies.

Abstract: 

The present research investigates the effects of training the stress management techniques on the happiness of the ports and shipping organization (PMO) employees. In this research, 2 groups including control group (26) and intervention (26) were selected randomly from among 116 employees of PMO. First, the rate of the happiness and job stress of the employees' were calculated using Oxford happiness questionnaire and Osiopw's job stress questionnaires and then training the stress management techniques were performed for intervention group. The mean score difference of these two groups were measured. Data analysis was carried via t-test and paired t-test, and the results indicated that the technique training has a positive effect on decreasing the job stress of the ports and shipping organization employees. As well, stress management training lead to more joy in the intervention group. It should be mentioned that no significant difference was observed between various educational groups and among people with diverse incomes or between males and females or married and single people.

Abstract: 

Environmental pollution and its harmful effects on the earth is one of the most important concerns in the recent years. This pollution includes greenhouse gases and harmful substances from the exhaust of the ships, cars, diesel locomotives, and industrial equipments which use fossil fuels. Since a significant percentage of these emissions are released from diesel engines of ships, International Maritime Organization (IMO) has also paid special attention to this issue and has developed some requirements for authorized level of NOX emissions of the ships. These requirements are provided in Appendix V of MARPOL and NOX Technical Code. Therefore, to compliance with these requirements, shipyards need to take necessary actions like using SCR System (Selective Catalytic Reduction). In this paper, IMO requirements about authorized level of NOX emissions and performance of SCR System is assessed.
