This study examines the relationship between physical activity (running & sit-up) and mental health of police woman students. In this study, the current status of physical activity and its relation to students` mental health is investigated. The research method is a correlation and comparison. Statistical population, selected from among female students of Police University, was randomly selected from the research community. Instruments to measure included Goldberg Questionnaire for mental characteristics (GHQ), which was validated in Iran and physical tests as well. Variables Includes running 540 meters and sit-up and psychological variables were collected via a questionnaire. Two descriptive statistical analyses of research data, including frequency distribution, mean and inferential statistics, including correlation coefficient and independent t are investigated. Significance level was considered as (0.05>=P).Results showed a significant inverse relationship between mental health and exercise, as well as a significant relationship between mental health and sit-up. The greatest impact was related to life expectancy, and the lowest effect to the physiological condition.Based on these findings, whenever person's mental health is higher, his physical activity is more favorable.
