Abstract: 

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to study the effective factors on personal information management and to recognize the strength and weakness in personal information management of postgraduate students at Alzahra University.Methodology: The methodology of the research, in the part of the literature review and theoretical literature, is library study and in the part of the analysis, is survey study (descriptive and analytic). The data were gathered through a researcher made questionnaire that contained 4 parts and 73 questions. The research population includes all of the postgraduate students (at M.A/M.Sc and PhD degrees) at Alzahra University whom are studying at this university during the educational year of 2011-2012. Based on the random sampling, 309 postgraduate students at M.A/M.Sc degree and 70 postgraduate students at PhD degree participated at this research.Findings: It should be noted that personal information management of the postgraduate students has been studied under the factors of “attitude, knowledge and skill.” The research results represent that among the effective factors on personal information management, the attitude average is 3.95, knowledge’s average is 3.29, and the skills set have the average of 3.17. Furthermore, the average of the three mentioned factors’ averages is about 3.47.Conclusion: The amount (3.47) indicates that the situation of personal information management of postgraduate students at Alzahra University is at the upper to the average level. On the other hand, the situation of personal information management by Ph.D. students is the same as M.A./M.Sc. students and this amount is around 3.47. Thus it can be said that there is no significant relation between personal information management by Ph.D. students and M.A./M.Sc. students.

Abstract: 

Purpose: The aim of this research is to investigate the view points of Agricultural digital library workshops' participants, held in Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO) during 2008 and 2009.Methodology: Descriptive survey has been implemented to conduct the research. 2200 participants in 50 workshops held in AREEO formed the survey population. Research data are gathered through investigation forms and analyzed by SPSS statistical software.Findings: The qualification of 6 trainees whom trained the participants in the workshops were as follows:  teacher's dominance on workshops 95%, presenting quality of lectures 87%, ability to response the participant questions 86%, time management 81% and instructive facilitates utilization 77%. Additionally, according to the results updating the workshops curricula, correlation rate of presented workshops lectures to meet the real needs oftrainees, comprehensiveness of the workshops subjects and trainees satisfaction, were 95%, 87% and 85% respectively. Also trainees' have evaluated suitably the holding place and holding time 78% and 88%.Conclusion: Nearly 25% of participants evaluated the necessity of workshops as excellent, 58% good, 12% average and 1% weak. In general, workshops could meet the trainees' satisfaction.

Abstract: 

Purpose: The purpose of this research was the identification of information milieus for Postgraduate students at Razi University. To provide constructive solutions for optimization information milieus and intelligence new information milieus.Methodology: The participants of this research were 310 Razi University students in the period studied the Persian date ordibehesht 91 M. A. and PH. D courses in all disciplines. Sampling was done according to Morgan table for 310 questionnaires. The descriptive survey method was used in carrying it out. Analysis of the data using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical tests such as Friedman test was conducted.Findings: The findings show that their principle information milieus are: Internet center of university, library and students' viva. The main reason the participants stated for using information milieus were easy communication to other people in that environments, ease of experience and knowledge exchange. The pointed to interaction methods in these information milieus as: conversations, SMS, and Email. It may be concluded that the best solutions for reinforcement and enrichment of information milieu are increasing students' access hours to internet, providing them with free internet accounts and increasing number of available computers in the internet center.Conclusion: According to new study, idea exchange and connecting to information bases are the most motivation to access students to  information milieus. Information milieus emphasis to there factors of human, place and information due to provide emotional and exchange data for getting new technology in individual frame. On the other hand eye contact and direct relation superior to new technologies and recently attention to information need and complex relation and information technique.

Abstract: 

Purpose: the purpose of this study is to analyze and visualizing of scientific productions in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR) in 2000-2010 at the ISI database.Methodology: this applied research tried to analyze data as scientometric methods. A total number of 678 articles published during 2000-2010 were extracting from ISI and saved as text files on personal computer. The Records were analyzed by Microsoft Excel, ISI.exe and HisitCite. Findings: the average manual growth rate during the period for publication of intellectual property rights (IPR) in the ISI is 8/7 percent. The scientific publication of IPR was produced with the participation of 49 countries and in 7 languages. The United State ranked the first with 219 records and 95/5% of the articles were in English. 512 academic and scientific institutions were collaborated in the production of this document. The University of Colorado was known as the most active institution with 12 articles.  The subject of the main scientific cluster of IPR is about intellectual property rights in the international trade and economic.Conclusion: 59% of the total production have published by the first five countries. Authors' collaboration coefficient (cc) is 0.37 that implies a low co-authorship in this field. The main cluster of IPR shows the intellectual property rights has a special place in the international economics.

Abstract: 

Purpose: This research is going to compare internet results derived by some users Technical and engineer groups, factual sciences and economics in G.G.O with restriction  at title & URL, and also the of keyword's appearance in the internet URL and research group's titles.Methodology: Survey society are 90 experts of Hamedan G.G.O They searched their desired  keywords (one or more words) in the URL and  title of web pages and determined  the amount of relevance retrieval results in the check list that was provided for this reason. For classifying and data analysis, descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, base of sample  and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (univariateKalmvgvrf Smirnov test, Duncan’s post hoc test, chi-square independence test, paired t-test, correlation COEFFICIENT erson and  Spearman’s test, ANOVA and chi Krvksa L – Wallis test) used.Findings: The results showed that the increase in the number of search keywords and URLs as the correlation decreases and the greater the degree of correspondence between the title and the URL link is higher.Conclusion: the result show up that with increase of search keywords scale in the title & URL will reduce and there are meaningful defference between numbers of present thematic keywords at title & URL researched groups and search engines can increase weighting to present keywords in the URLs rank the more correlative results and provide for users.

Abstract: 

Purpose: This survey tries to evaluate the centrality of the scientific network of university of Tehran articles which are indexed in Web of science between 1999-2008.Methodology: This research uses the social network analysis to reveal scientific map of university of Tehran and find the works with high centrality.  4732 articles were collected from Web of science and 900 articles (with 10 citation thresholds) were analyzed with Citespace.Findings: The results reveals that Ganjali (chemist) is the central node in Tehran scientific network but other important nodes are not Iranian.Conclusion: The data shows there are 29455 references in articles and half of them are Iranian. In this work the most cited references with centrality and sigma were recognized. The result shows although citation is important but the most cited reference is not the central one.

Abstract: 

Purpose: the aim of this study is to determine the amount of information literacy skills of librarians in cultural recreational organization of Isfahan Municipality according to the model Izanberg and Brecoitz. Methodology: this study is a descriptive survey. The population consists of all librarians (240 people) of Cultural recreational Organization of Isfahan Municipality. Simple random sampling method was used and sample was included137 people. To collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire was used and reliability coefficient was calculated 87 percent using Cronbach’s alpha. The data using SPSS software was analyzed at descriptive and inferential levels.Findings: according to the results the mean of all the components were greater than the average level and the highest average related to skill evaluation with 4.21 and the lowest was related to locate and access information with mean 4.07.Conclusion: the results of this study showed that the librarians of cultural recreational organization of Isfahan Municipality consider the amount of information literacy skills components application more than the average level based on the model Izanberg and Brecoitz. The results also showed that , there is significant difference based on demographic factors, field of study and level of education.

Abstract: 

Purpose: the purpose of this study is to measure Mazandaran Province public librarians' attitudes toward knowledge management including trust, reward system, openness, cooperation, and knowledge sharingMethodology: The study is an applied research, and survey method is used. 110 librarians of Mazandaran Public libraries took part in this survey. The research measured viewpoints of librarians in 9 months during 2010-2011. Questionnaires 'Cronbach's Alpha about confidence, attitude, cooperation, and reward, and openness in communication was 73%, and about attitude and knowledge management was87 %. SPSS v.17 is used in this study. In the analysis Pearson correlation coefficient R for testing hypotheses is used.Findings: Results showed that there is a meaningful relation among correlations across the variables of attitudes to knowledge management, trust, openness, and reward of librarians of public libraries of Mazandaran province and knowledge sharing.Conclusion: This study emphasizes the importance of greater cooperation between librarians for promoting the development of knowledge management, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
