Particularly important in the Azarbaijani style, palilogy is an outstanding feature of the poems belonging to it. Palilogy, utilized in diverse forms, has an important role in the artistry, highlighting and defamilirizing of the poems composed in that style. Moreover, as a professional and applied tool, it was enormously used for figures of speech and imagery. This article examines the role and applications of palilogy in the Azarbaijani style of Persian poetry.

Haft peikar is the forth composition in verse of Nizami and is considered as a masterpiece. There are two parts in this literary work: the first part is about Bahram and his life and the second part is about his seven wives stories. The structure of this book can be an issue of investigation based on formalism. One of the main elements of these stories is characters. In the structural analysis of the narrative, there are no real characters as human beings in the text but collections of pictures, actions and lingual signs. The narrator of Haft peikar uses direct and indirect styles in their narrative for introducing the characters. In this paper, the researcher inspects the reflection of characters and their sources that appear in frame of action, name and title, language, environment and external apparent.

Beauty seeking and beauty loving are of the spirit of human. Hafiz poems have been the literal master-piece since centuries ago and this characteristic has attracted us to his poems. Shahryar is one of the poets who has been lured by Hafiz poems and under the influence of these poems he has created magnificent poems. The main purpose of the researcher in this research is to prove this influence. Other minor targets that are to be investigated and proved are the influence of Hafiz on the language and the thought level of Shahryar. So, in this research different aspects regarding the influence of Hafiz on Shahryar poems is studied which includes guaranties, the common concepts, common tone and rhyme, the application of in formal terms and meanings, the inclusion of Hafiz’s name in his poems, his eulogia sonnets for Hafiz, and the poem titles which are extracted from Hafiz comments.

Salaman and Absal is a famous story in Persian literature and one of the Haft Orang poems from Abdol-Rahman Jami. Due to its fame, it has been reflected widely in Persian lyric poetry. This story is originally Greek. Jami, however, with a little difference changed it to poem and allocated this in novation to himself. In this story, Jami has expressed mystical philosophical puzzles in a mysterious manner and has clearly shown mystical and love of the heroes, real-life phenomena, Sufism codes and humanitarian opinions. In this poem the poet has tried to express the lofty goals of human love, wors h ip and ignorance of the carnal desires. This article attempts to examine the elements of the story in Masnavi Salaman and Absal. Elements such as narrative, plot, tone, character, and… are analyzed to make it possible for the readers to come to a new understanding in the area of story elements.

Fereidoon Tavallali is one of the modernist pioneer poets in contemporary Persian poetry who had an Influence on younger poets. In this article we investigate redundancy and repetition in his poetry. Repetition’s study consists of several parts: repetition of the word in the beginning of the line or hemistich, repetition in composition, repetition in figures of speech, and artistic techniques in repetition. This article reveals that one of the stylistic features in Tavallali’s poems is repetition and this trait is there in both period of Tavallali’s poetry: romantic period and classic period. However, redundancy’s frequency is more in romantic period. Repetition in Tavallali’s poems generally has a rhetoric value.

Formalism is one of the various schools of literary criticism that formed in about 1920 in Russia. Formalists view literature as a purely linguistic category and to them the only way to achieve the desired effect is form. Mersad-ol-Ebad is one of the most significant works of Persian literature and its review with a formalistic approach seems necessary. This research reviews the second chapter of the book Mersad-ol-Ebad based on the formalistic approach and attempts to clarify how this great mystic has transferred his lofty ideas through phonemes, words and creating novel images.

Hakim - Nasir Khosraw Qobadiyani–the Persian well known poet has had a unique and special personality which can be realized and found through his poems after 1000 years. His personality may be due to his long travels, religion conversion, and urging on propagation of his own desirable religion. Nowadays, interdisciplinary studies have enormously contributed in recognizing some hidden points on literary persons. The present paper attempts to investigate some personal characteristics of Nasir Khosraw including extreme prejudice and hot temper through some psychological principles.

Shakespeare as one of the most important history play-writers indicates an especial attention to plot elements in tragedy plays. Shakespeare has adjusted ‘Hamlet’ play based on Aristotle’s traditional plot in three parts: the beginning, middle and the ending and in each part he leads the addressee to follow logical events and among them creates catastrophes starting from one to the other. But, Ahmad Shamloo enjoys this play with a free realization based on the outstanding piece of ‘to be or not to be’ and with respect to the stream of consciousness and soliloquy techniques. Combining these techniques with the element of imagination which is the main essence in the poem, he puts the addressee in the Hamlet’s protagonist doubt and suspicion stream with the important events in this play.
