In the present article sense of social security divided to personal security, economic security, political security and community security, and the impact of people's social capital has been studied with social participation network, norms of trust, norms of reciprocity and social consciousness. The research method is survey and a questionnaire has been used among residents of 18 and above 18 years old (236750) in the city of Kashan in1391. In this study, a multi-stage cluster sampling method was used and the sample size of 362 was calculated using Cochran formula and the data were extracted from 359 questionnaires out of 400 distributed questionnaires. The main results of the test of relationship between variables show that social capital affects the citizens' sense of social security; and there is a significant difference between sense of social security and social participation network, norms of trust and social consciousness. Also, there is no significant relationship between variables such as gender, age, marital status, occupation, and education and family funds with a sense of social security. In doing multivariate analysis five variables of age, social participation, norms of reciprocity, norm of trust and social consciousness were put into the equation of which norm of trust and social consciousness remained in the equation. As their coefficient of determination is 36% and regarding the standardized beta, the effect of consciousness and trust are 48% and 25% respectively.
