Abstract:

This research aimed to examine the relie bility and validity of the Trait emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-short Iiom (TEIQue-SF, Petrides, & Furnham, 2004). In a descriptive cross - sectional study 306 students of Tslamic azad university, Azadshahr branch (183 females and 123 males) who were selected using random stratified method, completed the TETQue-SF, the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS, Diener, Emmons, Larsen & Griffin, 1985), the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS, Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995) and the Trait Meta - Mood Scale (TMMS, Salovey, et aL., 1995). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic methods and correlation coefficient. The test - retest reliability and Alfa Cronbach was .66 and .82. The correlation coefficient of TETQue-SF with SWLS, DASS and TMMS were .28, -.54, -.42, and .47 respectively which were also significant (p<0.001). The TEIQue-SF was valid and reliable among students.

Abstract:

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of problem-solving skills on happiness & Beliefs substance abuse of addicts to methamphetamine in Tehran city.Methodology: with use of a semi- experimental design and multistage cluster sampling method, 36 addicts were randomly assigned in the experimental and control group. Both groups filled Oxford Happiness Questionnaire & Beliefs substance abuse in the pre-test post test and 3-months fallow up. The participants of the experimental group were trained problem-solving skills. Covariance and variance analysis with repeated measurement of Bonn-Ferny test were conducted to analyze the data.Findings: Eta Square (happiness: Eta=00.28 & beliefs abuse= 0.51) confirmed increases in happiness level & Beliefs substance abuse of addicts receiving problem-solving skills. Therefore, it can be concluded that the experimental intervention had made changes in the experimental group that 0.28, 0.51 of them results iiom the experimental action, and with 0.99 assurances there was significant difference between the studied groups in the three measurements or intervention stages. Conclusion: training of problem- solving skills was effective for increasing happiness level and changing positive beliefs abuse to negative beliefs abuse of addicts to methamphetamine.

The sample consisted of 261 female students who were selected by cluster sampling method. In order to measure the variables of this study, emotional maturity scale (Singh and BhargaOa, 1974) and Rosenberg's self-esteem and social anxiety scale for adolescents were used. Path analysis results epproved the mediating role of emotional maturity in relationship between self-esteem and social anxiety Similarly, social anxiety was directly predictable by self-esteem. Abstract:

Deviant behaviors are the most controversial behaviors in the workplaces which until nowadays many researches have been done about them. This research aimed to study the role of deviant behaviors on the relationship between job stress and emotional exhaustion. Among the employees of an industrial organization in Isfahan city, two hundred seventy seven employees were selected using convenience sampling and respond to the job stress (JSQ), deviant behaviors (DBQ) and emotional exhaustion (EEQ) questionnaires. Results revealed that, there was a significant relationship between job stress and emotional exhaustion with deviant toward individuals and toward organization, and between job stress and emotional exhaustion. Also the results showed that deviant behaviors toward individuals and organization moderate the relationship between job stress and emotional exhaustion. That is, when deviant behaviors toward individuals and organization were high, there was a weak relationship between job stress and emotional exhaustion. But when deviant behaviors toward individuals and organization were low, there was a most strength relationship between job stress and emotional exhaustion. In sum, the results of this investigation showed that deviant behaviors toward individuals and organizations can serve as a preventive (compensatory) factor in the relationship between job stress and emotions 1 exhaustion.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of emotional intelligence group training (BIOI) on cognitive emotion regulation strategies (CERS) in students as the victims of parents' emotional abuse. Children of victim of emotional abuse have many problems in emotional regulation. This research did base on an experimental design. Fifty students screening from first grade of middle school in second region of Shiraz with emotional abuse problems and randomly assigned to either an experimental group (n= 25) or a control group (n= 25). The participations completed the emotional abuse and emotion cognition regulation questionnaire. Finally, data were analyzed by statistical methods of covariance analyses. The results indicated that in contrast with control group, experimental group demonstrated significant increase in emotional regulation strategies. Data didn't confirm the effectiveness of emotional intelligence training on negative emotional regulation strategies. The final result of this study was that emotional intelligence training affected on emotional regulation.

Abstract:

The purpose of present study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and mental health with mediation of cognitive triad (the negative attitude to self, world, and future). Participants consisted of 400 undergraduate students at Shiraz University which were selected using a random multi-stage cluster sampling method. They completed the emotional intelligence questionnaire (Petrides & Furnham, 2001), General Health Questionnaire (Goldberg & willams, 1979), and The Cognitive Triad Inventory (Beckham et al., 1986) in their regular classes. Data were analyzed in a structural equation modeling pattern using AMOS software. The findings showed that the direct effect of emotional intelligence on mental health was significant. The relationship between cognitive triad and mental health was negative and statistically significant. Moreover, emotional intelligence had indirect effect on mental health through cognitive triad as a mediator. Applying Bootstrap test showed that the mediating role of cognitive triad was significant.
