The aim of the present research was to study the relationship between psychological hardiness with family flexibility and coping with stress. The sample consisted of 319 high school students. Endlerand Parker’s Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS), Ahvaz Hardiness Inventory (AHI) and Shakeri’s Positive Flexibility Inventory were used in this research. Findings suggested that there is a positive significant relation between psychological hardiness and emotion-oriented coping style and avoidance-oriented coping style. Also the results revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between family flexibility and avoidance-oriented coping style.

The purpose of this research was to predicate maladaptive schema based on family process and family content, two main dimensions of the family process and content model. The sample consisted of 400 adolescents age ranged between 15 to 17 years old. All participants filled out Self-report Family Content Scale, Self-report Family Process scale, and Yang Schema questionnaire. The results showed family process and family content are significant predictors for adolescents maladaptive schema. In sum, the results revealed that a significant role for family in adolescent maladaptive schema.

The main purpose of this research was to study the effectiveness of logo therapy training for decreasing the depression of cancer patients in Shiraz city. The sample of this research were a group of 30 patients affected with the cancer with range of 20-40 years, with the exact diagnosis of this illness without the Psychiatry or chronic background disease who consults the cancer center part of Namazi hospital and Motahari clinic. Method of sampling was a target method with the groups of 30 subjects (15 experimental and 15 control group).The data collected through Beck depression questionnaire. Logo therapy trained to the group in 10 sessions. The analyzing of the given data showed that training of logo therapy had effect in decreasing the amount of depression in affected patients. In follow up stage there was no difference found in all three stages of study. There was no significant difference between the groups regarding their depression with their education level.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and defense mechanisms in divorcing and normal couples in Isfahan city. The sample included 100 persons (50 divorcing and 50 normal couples). Bar-on Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ) and Defense Styles Questionnaire (DSQ) were used in this study. The results of the study showed that there is a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and defense mechanisms in divorcing couples but there is not a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and defense mechanisms in normal couples.

The purpose of the present article was to check the psychometric properties of the Self-Worth scale. The sample consisted of 200 college students in Esfahan University. Contingencies of Self-Worth Scale and Collective Self-Esteem Scale were used in this research. Alpha coefficient showed a acceptable reliability for the Self-Worth Scale. Also the result of the study revealed a significant relationship between the Contingencies Self-Worth and the Collective Self-Esteem. The results also showed that all seven subscales have a significant relationship with Self-Worth score. Factor analysis indicated that seven sub-scales of instrument can be reduced into two factors which reflect Construct Validity (these two named Internal and External Self-Worth). In sum the results showed an acceptable reliability and validity for self-worth scale.

The aim of the present study investigated the psychometric properties of Esoteric Analogies test in college students. The sample of this study was 250 female graduate students who were selected of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz by multi-stage cluster sampling method. The instruments of this study consisted of Esoteric Analogies (EA) test, Memory & Reasoning Competence Inventory (MARCI) and General Self-efficacy Scale (GSE). The results of the present study indicate Esoteric Analogies test had good internal consistency. Also, results revealed that there are a significant positive correlation between Esoteric Analogies test with Memory & Reasoning Competence Inventory, Reasoning Competence subscale and General Self-efficacy Scale. In addition, confirmatory factor analysis showed Esoteric Analogies test fitted the data at an acceptable level (AGFI=0/81) and could be used in females sample.

The main purpose of this research was to study the relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness, their effort and their functional orientation toward achievement with an explanatory model. The sample of the study consisted of 256 bachelor students. The research instruments used to collect data in this study were goal orientation questionnaire, effort questionnaire, and a researcher made questionnaire. The result of the study revealed that: there is a significant relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness, and their functional orientation toward achievement, there is a significant relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness and their effort, by mediating role of students' effort, there is a significant relationship between students' perception of counseling center effectiveness, and their functional orientation toward achievement.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between identity style and happiness among high school students of Meskin Shahr city.The sample included 350 students (181 females, 169 males). Identity style questionnaire and Happiness scale Inventory were used in this study. The results of the study showed that both information and normative styles have a positive significant relationship with happiness and. Also, the results showed a positive significant relationship between five components of happiness with two components of identification (normative and informational).
