Abstract: 

Introduction: Medical education has an effective role in people's health, in order to achieve this goal, influencing factors must be identified and used. One of these factors is the desire to study. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of determining the state of academic enthusiasm, and its relationship with self-regulated learning strategies and academic excitement in medical students of Zanjan, Iran. Methods: The research method was a correlational research based on the structural equation modeling method, and the statistical population included all medical students of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences in the academic year of 2017-2018, whose number was 212. Because the number of the sample population was limited, the sampling method was done as a whole. The research tools included questionnaires: personal information, Fredericks et al. 's academic enthusiasm, Pintrich de Groot's selfregulation (MSLQ, 1990) and Pakran's academic excitement (AEQ, 2005). The results of this study were analyzed using SPSS 16 statistical software. Results: The overall score of academic enthusiasm in the participants of our study was (43. 2) and it is acceptable according to Frederick’, s questionnaire. There is an inverse relationship between academic enthusiasm score and academic excitement (0. 447) and a positive correlation (0. 083) between self-regulation strategies. Conclusion: The results of this research showed that according to the results of the negative effect of academic excitement and the positive effect of self-regulation strategies on academic enthusiasm, it is better for curriculum planners of medical sciences universities to consider it.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Faculty members are one of the major factors in the structure of higher education in a country. Therefore, the development of faculty members as part of university-level human resources management has a special place in university management. The faculty members’,development is a key to promote the quality of higher education. The purpose of this study was to develop a model of development of faculty members at Farhangian University. Methods: The present study was conducted within the framework of a qualitative approach and using the grounded theory approach. Research data were collected and analyzed using semi-structured interviews, focusing on the two traits of twist and compeer in three stages of open coding, axial coding and selective coding were collected and analyzed used MAXQDA software. Sampling was purposeful and theoretical. To evaluate the validity of the theory based on the present research, three methods of participant review and review of non-participating experts and questionnaire capability were used. Results: Based on the interviews, 650 codes or basic concepts, 92 sub-categories and 14 main categories were extracted,the extracted categories were analyzed in the form of a paradigm model. Conclusions: Findings show that the main categories of faculty development in Farhangian University are based on antecedents, processes and outcomes. It is suggested that academic policymakers have a systematic view on the theory and practice of this paradigm, because each of these categories are effective in planning, organizing and optimally leading the development of faculty members.

Abstract: 

Introduction: In today's word, identifying the psychological characteristics of academic and emotional success for students and teaching-learning process is of the utmost importance. Therefore, this study was to evaluate the perception of medical students of the class structure: the role of gender, degree and its relation to learning practices. Methods: The method of study was correlation-type description. The research community was all the students of Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences in academic year of 2016-2017, which gives up with the random sampling method. Data collection tools consists of two questionnaires including the perception of the structure of the target class and David Kolb's learning styles of log. Results: Perception of the structure of the target performance-approach has the priority between students. There were no significant differences between students' perception on the basis of gender and degree. Mastery goal orientation with concrete experience had significant positive relationship, the structure of the abstract concept of the building performance-approach and active trialling showed a significant positive relationship and also avoid structure-performance with concrete experience, the concept of building an abstract and active trialling showed a significant positive correlation. Conclusion: According to the research results and the prominent role of teachers and educational administrators, it is suggested that while educating teachers, they should be emphasized to adopt new teaching methods in line with the characteristics of learners, by providing the necessary grounds for growth and tendency towards perception of structure. Create a masterful goal in them.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Self-efficacy and believe in self can play an effective role in students' academic success. The aim of this study was to predict academic self-efficacy based on dark personality traits and spiritual well-being. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used for this study. This study was conducted in the academic year 2017-2018 in the female student community living in the dormitories of Qazvin University of Medical Sciences (N = 587). 300 people were selected by simple random sampling to participate in the study. Students' academic selfefficacy questionnaire, dark personality scale and spiritual well-being scale were used to collect data. Inferential analysis of data was performed using Pearson correlation and regression tests in SPSS-24 software. Results: The results showed that anti-social personality traits (P <0. 001, r =-0. 254) and Machiavelli (P <0. 05, r =-0. 138) had a significant and negative relationship with academic self-efficacy in students, but there was no significant relationship between narcissistic personality traits and academic self-efficacy. Other results showed that academic self-efficacy had a positive and significant relationship with spiritual wellbeing (P <0. 001, r = 0. 291). The results of regression analysis showed that 0. 14 of the variance of academic self-efficacy can be explained based on spiritual well-being and the dark personality trait of the socialist community (F= 24/96, R= 0/379, R2= 0/144). Conclusion: This study showed that Machiavellian and anti-social characteristics with a negative role and spiritual well-being with a positive role affect self-efficacy.

Abstract: 

Introduction: In recent years, education and psychology specialists have come to believe that attachment to school and academic engagement as a psychological state in students about their abilities is key to their academic resilience, . The purpose of this study was to model and test the relationship between academic resilient and school attachment with mediation of academic engagement. Methods: The research method is descriptive correlation and structural equation model. The statistical population of the study consisted of all secondary school students in Sardasht, Iran who were studying in the academic year of 2016-2017. From this population, 400 students were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling method. Standardized questionnaires of academic resilience of Samuels and Wu (2009), attachment to school Moton et al. (1993) and academic engagement Zerang (2012) were used as assessment tools. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and AMOS softwares. Results: Findings indicate a direct and significant effect of academic resilience on academic engagement and school attachment as well as academic engagement on school attachment. On the other way, the findings showed an indirect and significant effect of academic resilience on school attachment mediated by academic engagement. Conclusion: By increasing these academic resilient and academic engagement, students' attachment to school can also be increased.

Abstract: 

Introduction: In educational environments, the type of parenting style as well as the understanding of problem solving ability can be effective in anger control skills. The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship between perceived parenting styles and anger control skill with mediating role of understanding the ability of solving in students. Methods: This research was correlation research. The statistical population consisted of high school students in Babolsar. In this research, 395 people were selected using multi-stage cluster random sampling. Data collection tools included a perceived ability questionnaire, perceived parenting styles, and anger control skills. Structural equation modeling and path analysis were used to analyze the results. Results: Path analysis showed that perceived parenting style (authoritative, authoritative, and indifferent) through mediation of perception of solving ability was able to substantially explain the control skills of anger in the form of structural relationships. Conclusion: The results of this study emphasize the importance of perceived childrearing styles in solving ability and control of anger, so that anger control skill can reflect the strong parenting style and the ability to solve the problem.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Nursing graduates' competency is an important issue in health care because it is related to professional standards, patient safety and quality of nursing care. The purpose of this study was to identify the core competencies required by nursing graduates. Methods: This qualitative study was conducted with the participation of 35 nursing experts through semi-structured interviews and multiple purposeful sampling during 2018-2019. Data analysis was performed by manual coding and through thematic analysis with inductive approach and the Attride-Stirling model. Validation was promoted by using strategies such as implementing a systematic process of recording data, increasing the number and variety of interviewers, reviewing the data frequently, controlling members and external reviewers,And the reliability measurement was performed manually through retest reliability and reliability between the two coders, and after the coding was completed, the results of these two coding were compared with each other and the holistic method was used. Results: In the thematic analysis process, a total of 342 basic themes were extracted, which were classified into 34 sub-organizer themes and 14 main organizer themes, and finally 9 global themes were identified that included specialized and professional competencies, individual, interpersonal and communicational, ethical and behavioral, educational and research, social and cultural, leadership and management, information technology and knowledge management,and inter-professional and global competencies. Conclusions: Empowering nursing graduates to different types of skills and dimensions of core competencies not only helps ensure the quality and effectiveness of care and thereby enhances community health, but also preserves the social value and status of the nursing profession.

Abstract: 

Introduction: The transfer of education is one of the most important issues in the field of education. Therefore, the main issue of this research was to study of effective factors on transfer of education among the staff of university of medical sciences in Tehran, Iran. Methods: This research is applicable in purpose, in terms of data collection, is a field research and in terms of variables control, is non-experimental. Since it examined a particular model of the relationship between variables, it is a kind of causal modeling or structural equation modeling that developed a conceptual model after collecting theoretical literature and studying Iranian and foreign researches. The statistical population of the study was all the staff of university of medical sciences in Tehran which are 362 persons in 2019. The calculated sample size was 186 persons based on Cochran's formula. The main research tool is two questionnaires that consist of 114 questions based on the Likert Scale (1 to 5) which was used in the former research, 2016. Results: The first questionnaire was about independent variables including organizational commitment, job motivation, organizational atmosphere, management support and educational content and the second questionnaire was related to the dependent variable of effectiveness of the transfer of education. Also, Cronbach's alpha for the questionnaire was calculated by SPSS20 software. Conclusion: In this study, linear regression and structural equation analysis were used and the results demonstrated that educational content variable had the greatest effect with coefficient of determination (0. 626) and organizational commitment with coefficient of determination (0. 153) had the least effect on educational transfer in university of medical sciences in Tehran.

Abstract: 

Introduction: University students will play an important role in the professional development of the country in the future, and they should be familiar and train with professional ethical principles. The present research was conducted to present a model for promoting the professional ethics of students at Islamic Azad University of Tehran province, Iran. Methods: A mixed research method was used to perform this study. In the qualitative section, with the purposeful sampling approach, interviews were conducted with 14 experts in the seminary and the university in order to design the research tool. In the quantitative section, using the multi-stage cluster method, 365 faculty members of Islamic Azad University were selected to respond to the questionnaires. In addition to the documentary and library methods, a researcher-made professional ethics questionnaire, including four individual, educational and research, organizational, and environmental factor with 95 questions, was used to collect information. A content analysis was used in the qualitative section. In the qualitative section, descriptive, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis tests were used. Results: The results showed that the average variance index for each individual factor (0. 503) educational and research (0. 0527) organizational (0. 523) and environmental (0. 588) with a confidence level of 0. 99 were effective in promoting students' professional ethics in Islamic Azad University. Conclusion: The most important individual, organizational, educational and research, and environmental factors of effectiveness according to the amount of t value on the promotion of student professional ethics are listed below: 1-(Individual) Adherence to religious values, fairness, justice and honesty and having intelligence and moral sensitivity and aware of the impact of their performance on others. 2-(Educational and research) Creating a suitable environment for teaching, learning and improving scientific, social and research skills, seriousness of professors in evaluating and accuracy in students' moral behavior. 3-(Organizational) compiling a charters and ethical codes and emphasizing its observance by principals, professors & students and creating an atmosphere of appreciation for appropriate actions and supporting students' adherence to professional ethics. 4-(Environmental) Adhering to the law and regulations of social, cultural and economic and serious attention to the principles of proper family upbringing and moral education from primary school.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Identifying individual and social factors affecting MS patients’,life quality can play a significant role in planning, treating process and modifying their life style. Thus, this study aimed to suggest a structural model of MS patients’,life quality based on health promoting life style and health literacy with the intervention of psychological capital Methods: The research method was descriptive correlation and based on structural equation modeling. The statistical population included all patients with MS, members of MS associations in Mazandaran province, Iran including Sari, Amol, Nowshahr and Chalous, Tonekabon and Ramsar cities, approximately 1600 people, of which 305 people were selected with available sampling as a statistical sample. To collect the data of the study, MSIS-29 Patients’,Life Quality Questionnaire, Walker’, s Promoting Life Health Questionnaire, Montazeri’, s Health Literacy Questionnaire and Luthans’, s Psychological Capital Questionnaire were used. The data of the study were analyzed using the structural equations modeling and via the AMOS and SPSS softwares. Results: Findings indicated that health promoting life style and health literacy are directly and indirectly related to MS patients’,life quality which mediated by psychological capital. Further, it was indicated that 68% of the MS patients’,life quality could be determined by health promoting life style, health literacy and psychological capital (p<0. 01). Conclusions: According to the findings, a healthy and uplifting lifestyle combined with understanding and using health-related health information in interaction with positive psychological resources such as hope and self-efficacy can help a person with the disease adapt to difficult living conditions and improve their quality of life. Therefore, health-oriented education should be a priority in the treatment and research plans of MS patients.
