Abstract: 

Iran Technical and Vocational Training Organization (TVTO) arranges the National Skills Competition (NSC) annually aiming to boost youths’ self- efficacy, to generate creativity and innovation in technical and vocational training (TVT), and to provide suitable environment for fair competitions and entrepreneurship development, as well as TVTO discourages labor force, provides opportunity for youth in order to present their competency and expertise, develops a mechanism for updating national- level skills on the international ones, and prepare an enabling environment to interact between labor force and real world of work through the competition. Introducing NSC and World Skills Competition (WSC), the paper examined the evolution of vocational skills competition as a significant instrument for developing TVT and describes the benefits and criticisms addressed to the competition. This is a review and applied- type paper. The reliable and valid data of Iran NSC Office and WSC Secretariat were used. The analysis results and authors’ experiences show that the role of competitions in developing and promoting TVT cannot be ignored. At the end, some recommendations have been proposed for continuous improvement of competitions based on the results.

Abstract: 

The present quasi-experimental study was conducted to examine the effects of formative assessment on the learning level of second degree ICDL operator trainees of technical and vocational training centers in Kurdistan province. 140 trainees were studied in experiment and control groups and also evaluated in term of trainer's responses to questionnaires made by researcher. Initially, pre-test was done in both groups and then during the sessions, formative tests including multiple-choice were given to testers 3 times in experiment group. In this period, no test was done in control group and finally, in both groups, posttest was given. The results indicate the positive effects of formative assessment on the learning level of experiment group in comparison with control group. This study emphasizes on importance of formative assessments and recommends guidelines.

Abstract: 

The main goal of this Correlation study was to investigate the impact of trainers` skill and the content of training courses on empowering women skill at Technical & Vocational Training, in Ilam province. A questionnaire was prepared to collect data. The formal validity (based on expert opinion) and the reliability (using Cranach's alpha coefficient) of the questionnaire was assessed. The questionnaire included 15 items to assess skill capabilities and also 20 items to assess the course content and trainers` skill level. This questionnaire was completed by 86 participants. Provided data was analyzed using stepwise regression. The results showed the motivating learners, satisfaction of the course materials, the ability to express training goals, willingness to participate in other training center, instructors use teaching aids and materials have the most influence on students' skill abilities. The guidelines and recommendations are provided.

Abstract: 

Improving the quality of technical and vocational training can be ended throuth determining the internal strengths and weaknesses and identify opportunities and threats surrounding. This paper uses a strategic factor analysis approach (SWOT) to identify internal strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, set strategy and provide a solution for improving the quality of technical and vocational training of Kurdistan province. The results show that technical and vocational training in Kurdistan province is placed in defensive strategy and needs to review and providing appropriate policies to overcome the existing limitations and enhance existing advantages.

Abstract: 

In this research, in the form of five hypotheses, university educational - counseling approaches in student's tendency for education, gaining skills and entrepreneurship has been investigated from the view of 200 student and 50 teachers in Ilam University. Data is analyzed by one sample t-test and Friedman. Results indicate that creating knowledge, competencies and attitudes towards digital entrepreneurship approach, with the mean (3.25), is on the top ranking and introduction to information networks, identified entrepreneurial opportunities approach with the mean (2.59) is in the last rank. Research results confirm that entrepreneurship education at the university increases innovation and technical production and distribution of income. In this study, guidelines for the creation of entrepreneurial abilities and skills in students have suggested.

Abstract: 

In this study, the affective factors on female labor participation rate have been investigated, particularly; effect of human capital has been emphasized. To achieve this, panel data is used for women older than 15 years old for developing Islamic 8 counties covering the period of 1990 and 2010. This paper utilizes some variables such as school enrollment in different levels, unemployment rate, fertility rate, gross domestic production. The most important results show the significant and positive impact of education on female labor participation rates and the fertility and unemployment have negative effect on independent variable. Model estimation’s result implies "Feminization U" hypothesis between the economic growth and female participation rate.

Abstract: 

Academic achievements commercialization, academic entrepreneurship, development of university-industry relations and sustainable financial resources are main preferences of Iranian scientific and technology system. Effective intervention of governance and government in mainstreaming of knowledge and innovation is necessary to problems solving and attend to the main preferences of science and technology system. The law of «supporting knowledge-based firms and innovations commercialization» is the one of the important and sensitive interventions and based on it, it is effective tool to promote skill-training in the national level. In this paper, the most creating capabilities of the law of supporting knowledge-based firms to strengthen academic entrepreneurship and skill- training have investigated and presented by research method of content analysis and comparisons of cognitive and normative models.
