Introduction: The developmental coordination disorder causes many problems in motor skills of children. Designing appropriate motor plans is important to help these children. The core stability training is one of the related programs which has attracted the attention of the experts of this field in recent years. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of core stability training on balance in children with developmental coordination disorder.Materials and Methods: In this quasi -experimental study, 30 children with developmental coordination disorder aged 9 to 12 years old were selected. After static balance (Stork test) and dynamic balance (Star test) pre-tests, they were randomly divided into three groups: core stability training, daily activities, and control. The core stability exercise group conducted the core stability training for 16 sessions of 45 minutes. In this period, the daily activities group performed their daily routine activities. The control group had no activity. Finally, the post-test was conducted and the results were recorded. The research hypotheses were tested using one-way analysis of variance and Tukey post hoc test (p<0.05).Results: There was no significant difference among the three groups in terms of age (p=0.955), weight (p=0.425), and height (p=0.515). Also, the central stability exercises improved the subjects' balance. The central stability training group had a better performance in static and dynamic balance compared to the other two groups (p<0.001). In addition, there was no significant difference between daily activities group and control group in terms of static and dynamic balance (p=0.539).Conclusion: According to the findings, the core stability exercise may be used as a useful intervention to improve static and dynamic balance of children with developmental coordination disorder.

Introduction: Mental health is the most important factor in the growth and development of students' talents. One of the indicators of mental health assessment is the feeling of guilt that affects the person. The present study was aimed to predict the mental health of students of Ahwaz University of Shahid Chamran based on healthy and unhealthy guilt in 2017.Materials and Methods: In this Analytical and cross-sectional study, 300 students were selected using randomly stratified methodology. Two questionnaires regarding healthy and unhealthy feelings of guilt and mental health scale were used as means of data collection. The data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple linear regressions analysis. Results: The results showed that healthy (r=-0.193) and unhealthy feelings (r=0.303) of guilt were significantly correlated with mental health status (Incompatible aspects of mental health) (p<0.05). The highest correlation coefficient was related to unhealthy feelings of guilt, which was the most important predictive variable in this study. The regression coefficient between healthy and unhealthy feelings of guilt with mental health was statistically significant at<0.001.Conclusion: According to the results of this research, On the contrary of traditional view of feelings of guilt, this feeling probably does not play a main role in developing mental disorders and it is not always maladaptive. In fact, feelings of guilt have a range from adaptive to maladaptive behaviors.
