Abstract: 

Introduction and purpose: promotion of psychological well-being and psychological self-coherence has a significant role in ensuring the health of students, so the present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of spiritual therapy training in psychological self-cohesion and psychological well-being of students.Method: The present study was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test type with a control group. The research population included all the ninth grade female students of the first district of Karaj city in the academic year of 2023-2024, and 30 of them were selected by available sampling method and were randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups. The data collection tools were Antonovsky's psychological self-coherence questionnaire (1987) and Riff's psychological well-being questionnaire (1989). The experimental group was trained in 8 60-minute sessions of spiritual therapy training, and the control group was placed on the waiting list for training. SPSS version 22 software and multivariate covariance analysis were used to analyze the data.Findings: The results showed that the average scores of psychological self-coherence and psychological well-being of the spiritual therapy training group are significantly higher than those of the control group, so it can be said that spiritual therapy training has been effective in increasing the psychological self-coherence and psychological well-being of students (P<0/01).Conclusion: Spiritual therapy training can be used as an efficient method to improve psychological self-coherence and psychological well-being of students.

Abstract: 

Purpose: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of religious meaning therapy on life expectancy and suicidal thoughts of women with AIDS under the cover of the Values Revival Society. Method: This research is a semi-experimental pre-test-post-test study with a control group. The statistical population of this research includes all women with AIDS under the coverage of the Values Revival Society, 53 people from the said society were examined with the help of Miller's life expectancy questionnaire (1988) and Beck et al.'s (1991) suicidal ideation questionnaire, and 26 people They were selected based on life expectancy score and suicidal ideation score and randomly assigned to two experimental groups (13 people) and control group (13 people). Then, the meaning therapy method was implemented on the experimental group during 10 sessions, and at the end, the two groups were re-evaluated with the help of research tools. Findings: The results of the research showed that there is a significant difference between the control and experimental groups in terms of life expectancy and suicidal ideation after the intervention (p<0.01). Also, in the experimental group, a significant difference was observed between the score of life expectancy and suicidal ideation of the patients before and after the intervention (p<0.01). Conclusion: Meaning therapy can increase life expectancy and reduce suicidal thoughts of women with AIDS.

Abstract: 

Introduction & Aim: Suicidal behavior is one of the most important current global problems. So reduction of this behavior can play a significant role in improving the mental health and well-being of people in society. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the role of spiritual intelligence and resilience in predicting the suicidal ideation of people with borderline personality disorder.Method: The current research was descriptive-correlation. In this research, 100 people who referred to psychological hospitals in Shiraz city and have received the diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, were studied by available sampling method. The data collection tools in this research were King Spiritual Intelligence questionnaire(2008), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(2003) and Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale(1979). Data analysis was performed by Pearson correlation test and step by step regression using SPSS26 software.Findings: The results showed that there was an inverse and significant relationship between spiritual intelligence (r = -0.204) and resilience (r = -0.479) with suicide ideation. In total 38% of variance of suicide ideation was explained by spiritual intelligence and resilience.Conclusion: According to the results, spiritual intelligence and resilience play a role in improving the suicide ideation. Therefore, training in the field of improving spiritual intelligence and resilience in the program of therapeutic interventions for people with borderline personality disorder can be effective in the suicide ideation and suicidal behaviors.

Abstract: 

Introduction: After entering the university, students face psychological challenges such as depression and, more severely, suicidal thoughts. According to surveys, religious beliefs can be related to these variables and cause them to decrease. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the role of religious coping styles (positive and negative) in depression and suicidal thoughts of students.Methods: The present study was a correlational descriptive study. The statistical population of the research included all the students of Farhangian University of South Khorasan in the academic year of 2023-2024 in the number of 2100 people, of which 310 people were selected by stratified-random sampling method and were selected according to Beck's (1961), Beck's (1996) and Beck's depression questionnaires. Pargament's religious coping questionnaire (2000) answered. Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient test in SPSS-24 software.Results: The results showed that there is a significant relationship between religious coping styles with suicidal thoughts (r=0.346) and depression (r=0.427). In fact, positive religious coping with depression (r = -0.489) and suicidal thoughts (r = -0.461) has a negative relationship and negative religious coping with depression (r = 0.331) and suicidal thoughts (r = 0.387) had a direct and significant relationship (p<0.01).Conclusion: Overall, the results showed that positive religious coping styles negatively and significantly predict students' depression and suicidal thoughts, and negative religious coping styles positively and significantly predict students' depression and suicidal thoughts.

Abstract: 

Introduction: One of the possible behaviors in adolescents with a history of self-injurious behavior is suicide attempt, and it is necessary to examine the factors related to thoughts and suicide attempts among this group; therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the role of spiritual intelligence and Islamic lifestyle in predicting suicidal thoughts in adolescents with a history of self-injurious behavior.Methods: The present study was a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population of the study included 546 adolescent students aged 15 to 18 with self-injurious behavior in 2 & 14st Tehran region in the first half of 2024. Among them, 152 students (85 girls and 67 boys) were selected using a purposive sampling method and responded to Beck's suicidal thoughts questionnaire (1961), King's spiritual intelligence (2008), and Kaviani's Islamic lifestyle (2009). The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient test and multiple regression analysis in SPSS-26 software.Results: The results showed that there is a significant relationship between spiritual intelligence (r=-0.589) and Islamic lifestyle (r=-0.547) with suicidal thoughts. In total, spiritual intelligence and Islamic lifestyle predict 54.7% of the variance of suicidal thoughts in a negative and significant way (p<0.01).Conclusion: According to the research findings, spiritual intelligence and Islamic lifestyle have a negative and significant relationship with suicidal thoughts in adolescents with a history of self-injurious behavior. Therefore, paying attention to teaching spiritual intelligence and how to apply Islamic lifestyle skills to these adolescents in psychology and counseling centers seems important and necessary.

Abstract: 

Purpose: The purpose of the present study is to investigate the types proposed by Heinz Kohat regarding the narcissistic personality with an attitude towards Islamic teachings.Materials and methods: This research has studied Heinz Kohut's four types of narcissistic personality by descriptive method and content analysis. Islamic teachings have also been used to explain the subject.Findings: Kohat does not consider narcissism as an absolute disorder, but considers it to play a positive role in providing a person's mental health. He considers it as a disorder when there is some kind of defect in his structure, which is often caused by childhood deficiencies. Based on this, he proposed four types of narcissistic personality disorders: understimulated self, fragmented self, overstimulated self, and stressed self.Results: The basis of the four types of mountains is generally that parents and other caregivers of children have not been able to show an empathetic response to their demonstrative manifestations. Also, a relative alignment was seen in the under-stimulated and over-stimulated self-types of Kohat's typology with some Islamic teachings, and in the self-types, there are several fragments and under the pressure of Qur'anic and narrative examples and No match was found.

Abstract: 

Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most transformative and impactful fields of recent decades in the global scientific, academic, and industrial communities. Since all human endeavors must adhere to ethical principles, scientific communities have sought to establish ethical boundaries for the use of AI to foster global optimism and hope for its remarkable and future-oriented capabilities while avoiding potential harms. In this context, the European Union adopted the *Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI* in 2018. Similarly, it is essential for Islamic countries, considering their monotheistic worldview, to develop ethical principles for AI. This article addresses this crucial issue. In this study, human advancements such as AI are regarded as arising from humanity’s innate pursuit of perfection. The terms "ethics" and "intelligence" are examined from both materialistic and divine perspectives. It is noted that materialistic thought does not consider the immaterial nature of the soul, whereas Islamic philosophy attributes sensory, imaginative, and rational perceptions to the immaterial soul of humans. Based on this understanding, the use of the term "intelligence" for machines is only acceptable in a metaphorical sense. The ethical guidelines for trustworthy AI outlined by the European Union—focusing on human rights, democracy, and law—are analyzed. Using Islamic philosophy, the meaning of "intelligence" is redefined, and the leading role of Islamic civilization in AI is highlighted. Islamic cultural principles based on justice are analyzed through the three foundations of piety, benevolence, and trustworthiness. This research was conducted through a library-based method, utilizing scientific resources from credible databases. Finally, a table of guidelines for users of ethical AI has been developed.

Abstract: 

Background and Aim: Considering the psychological challenges of students in university, their emotional adjustment in this environment and its related factors are important. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the mediating role of spiritual well-being in the relationship between lifestyle and emotional adjustment of students.Method: The method was descriptive-correlational, and based on the structural equation model. The statistical population included all students of Farhangian University of South Khorasan Province in the academic year 2023-2024 (2128 people). Based on the stratified sampling method, 319 people (129 boys and 190 girls) were selected from among the eligible individuals and answered the questionnaires of spiritual well-being by Dehshiri et al., Islamic lifestyle by Kaviani Arani, and emotional adjustment by Farahbakhsh. The research data were analyzed through Pearson correlation test and bootstrap test using SPSS-26 and Smart Pls-3 software.Findings: The correlation coefficients between Islamic lifestyle (r=0.449) and spiritual well-being (r=0.334) with emotional adjustment were positive and significant (P<0.01). Also, the results of the bootstrap test showed that the path coefficient of the indirect relationship between Islamic lifestyle and emotional adjustment through the mediator variable of spiritual well-being was significant (p<0.05). Finally, obtaining a value of GOF=0.345 indicated the overall fit of the research model.Conclusion: The results indicate that spiritual well-being can mediate the relationship between Islamic lifestyle and emotional adjustment of students. It is recommended to hold training courses and specialized workshops to teach the application of Islamic lifestyle skills and improve spirituality in students.
