Prescribing is one of the main steps in using medicine. Mistakes in prescription can reduce the effectiveness of treatment or increase harm to the patient. Therefore, the aim of producing a prescription software in obstetrics and gynecology was to increase the skills of midwifery students in prescribing as well as convenient of using the medicine for users. This study was a pilot study performed on 23 midwifery students in the 6th semester. Production and implementation of the software was done in 4 stages Students' knowledge and skills, satisfaction and transcription error were collected by sing the pretest, post-test, and satisfaction and medication error checklist. The data were analyzed y SPSS software version 21 and independent t-test. The mean pre-test score in gynecological diseases before the intervention was 15. 48 and the mean post-test score after the intervention was 18. 96. The mean pre-test score in pregnancy diseases before the intervention was 14. 29 and the mean post-test score after the intervention was 18. 10. All of the professors were very satisfied with the software. Ninty one percent of the students rep [orted a very high satisfaction score and nine percent reported a high satisfaction score for the educational package. This software can improve the women’ s quality of life as a new method in clinical education and prevent medical errors in gynecological and obstetric fields as much as possible.
