Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of participation in "JOB CLUB" sessions on "job search behavior" of the unemployed people in Isfahan; to the goal of offering a model for "JOB CLUBs establishment". The sample was 261 unemployed people who voluntarily participated in the JOB CLUB sessions. The sample was composed of six groups, based on sex and education level of the participants. The subjects came to Isfahan municipality academic center following a public announcement. Groups of subjects were randomly assigned into experimental and control groups. The research was conducted in six stages. Both groups were evaluated by these tests: JOB SEARCH BELIEFS, Job Search Self-efficacy, and JOB SEARCH ACTIVITY scales. The experimental group participated in JOB CLUB sessions while control group received no treatment. The results of covariance showed that participation in JOB CLUB sessions affected JOB SEARCH BEHAVIOR, that is, JOB SEARCH BELIEFS, JOB SEARCH SELF EFFICACY and JOB SEARCH ACTIVITY.
