Abstract: 

This study was aimed at examining simple and multiple relationships of creativity, achievement motivation and self-esteem (as potential antecedents of entrepreneurship) with entrepreneurship in students of Shahid Chamran University (Ahvaz, Iran). Two samples including 600 subjects were randomly selected for this study: 400 subjects for testing the hypotheses, and 200 subjects for the scale validation phase. Subjects completed five scales: Measuring Your Entrepreneurial Traits (MET), Entrepreneurial Attitude Orientation (EAO), a creativity questionnaire, an achievement motivation questionnaire, and Eysenck"s Self-esteem Test. Data were analyzed using pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression statistical methods. The overall results indicate that, indeed, all examined antecedent variables correlate highly and positively with students" entrepreneurship.

Abstract: 

In order to investigate school culture and classroom psychosocial climate as one of its components, Classroom Psychosocial Climate Questionnaire (Fraser et al, 1995) was administered to 415 (217 male and 198 female) junior high school students. The scale consisted of four subscales, including friction, cohesion, task-orientation, and competition. the results showed that the total scores of female participants on the. scale were significantly higher than males. There was no significant interaction between students" gender and grade level in terms of their total scores. Classes with first graders were more coherent than third graders, and there was no significant difference between other grade levels. While, in competition and friction subscales, boys scored higher than girls, in cohesion and task-orientation subscales the difference was reversed. In the final section of the article, findings are disscussed in the light of related literature and suggestions for further research are set forth.

Abstract: 

450 senior university students (225 women, 225 men) in the field of engineeing were randomly selected from the Public Universities in Tehran. They completed two measures: Dellas Identity Status Inventory- occupation (DISI-O), and Fear of Success Scale (FOSS) by Zuckerman & Allison (1976). A chi square test showed no significant relationship between occupational identity statuses and sex. A two-way analysis of variance showed no inetraction effect of occupational identity statuses and sex on fear of success. Although there was no main effect of sex on fear of success, there was a main effect of occupational identity on fear of success. As predicted, students classified as achievers showed the highest scores on fear of success. The implications of these findings are discussed as they relate to the men and women personal and career development.

Abstract: 

For the purpose of computing the relationship between field-dependent and field- independent cognitive style with self-regulated learning and mathematics performance of third grade students of junior high-schools in Chipare region mt, West-Azarbayjan Province, 280 students were selected with simple random. samling method. To collect data, Group Embeded Figures Test (GEFT) and Motivational Strategies of Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) were used as instruments. The results showed that there is not any difference between male and female students in terms of cognitive style, but between strong and weak students in mathematics performance there is a significant difference. Regression analysis of cognitive styles and learning strategies on math performance showed that cognitive style (FD- I) in comparison with learning strategies, accounts for a larger portion of the variance of mathematical achievement in students.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this paper is to examine the correlation between The parent-child relationships and the individual and social adjustment of the ninth grade girl students at Ahvaz schools. In this. study, 220 girl students were selected by a random multi stage sampling method. The hypotheses of the study maintained simple and multiple relationships between the parent-child relationships and the individual and social adjustment of the girl students. To verify the hypotheses, the "Parent-Child Relationships Scale" and the "California Test of Personality" were used. The findings, confirming the hypotheses, indicated that there are significant correlations between the parent-child relationships and the individual and social adjustment of the girl students.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to examine the simple and multiple relationship between perfectionism, anxiety and depression with migraine headache in 300 students of Azad Islamic University of Ahvaz. In this research perfectionism, depression, trait-state anxiety considered as the predictive variables while migraine headache serves as criterion variable. The sample consisted of 150 girls and 150 boys that were selected by a random multistage methed from the Islamic University of Ahvaz. In this research four scales were applied that included Ahvaz Perfectionism Scale (APS), Ahvaz Migraine Headache Questionnaire (AMQ), Spilberger Anxiety Inventory (SAl), and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). The results of research indicated that perfec- tionism, anxiety and depression had positive and significant relationship with migranie headache (P<0/001). In addition, multiple correlation of perfectionism, anxiety and depression with migraine headache are statically significant.

Abstract: 

This study attempts to investigate the use of foreign journals by graduate students at Shahid Chamran and Medical Sciences Universities of Ahvaz libraries. It also tries to find out why students use other university libraries to meet their information needs. This study also attempts to determine the problems of graduate students at Shahid Chamran and Medical Sciences Universities of Ahvaz in obtaining foreign scientific articles. The population of this study comprised of 1800 graduate students at the two universities of which 68 were randomly selected as the sample. Based on the results of the study, the most important problems of students in this regard are respectively, as follows: Inadequate printed resources, lack of proper computer facilities, lack of relevant abstract and index journals, time constraints, unfamiliarity with the ways of accessing information resources, restrict library regulations, and inability in using the present resources and facilities.
