Abstract

The present paper is the result of a research which tried to study factors and variables effective in the JUVENILES' tendencies toward home runaways.The theoretical framework of the study was formed focusing on the social control and anomy theories. The statistical sample was formed by 597 JUVENILES aged 13‐19 residing in Shiraz.The findings of the study showed that the following variables have significant relationships with the JUVENILES’ tendencies toward home runaways: Gender, FAMILY dependency, friend dependency, religious commitment, FAMILY DISORGANIZATION, FAMILY dispersion and mass media.The regression test result demonstrated that "family DISORGANIZATION" was the most important variable regarding the home runaway of the JUVENILES.
