Abstract

 1. Introduction The digital divide is a term that refers to the gap between people with effective access to digital and information technology and people with no or very limited access to such technologies. In other words, the digital divide means unequal access of some members of society to information and communication technologies (ICT). The term is closely related to the concept of the knowledge divide. In the past, the digital divide was concerned with access or no access to the Internet and technology. However, the term's definition changed over time to include the knowledge and ability to work with technology and different types of IT-related tools. . . .
