Title

The Relationship between Mental, Social and Spiritual Health and Anxiety in Nursing Students of Islamic Azad University, Khorramabad Branch

Abstract

 Introduction: Recognizing the Health problems of nursing students can be effective in identifying and treating various disorders, including their Anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Health dimensions and Anxiety in nursing students. Methods: The present study was a correlational descriptive study in which 210 nursing students of the Islamic Azad University of Khorramabad branch participated in the census method in 2019. Data collection tools were demographic questionnaires, Goldberg mental Health questionnaires, Keyes social Health questionnaires, Spiritual Health was Polotzin and Ellison and Spielberger's Anxiety. SPSS-22 software and descriptive and inferential statistical tests (ANOVA, independent t and Pearson) were used for data analysis. Results: Of the total nursing students, 136 (64. 76%) were female and 153 (72. 85%) were single. 60. 5% of nursing students had moderate to high Anxiety. The amount of mental, social and spiritual Health respectively It was average in 72. 38%, 90. 95% and 100% of nursing students. There is no statistically significant difference in mental Health, social Health and spiritual Health of nursing students participating in the study according to demographic characteristics (P> 0. 05). However, the average and standard deviation of student Health is social, which makes him a student, continues to work as an employee and lives in the city, was more than other scientists studied (P <0. 05). There was a statistically significant negative relationship between Health dimensions and Anxiety (P <0. 05). Conclusions: As the Health dimension increases, the level of Anxiety of nursing students decreases. It is suggested that improving the Health dimensions of nursing students should be among the priorities of medical universities and that comprehensive and complete programs should be developed to achieve this goal.
