Abstract

Laparoscopic APPENDECTOMY was attended and studied almost contemporarily with LAPAROSCOPIC cholecystectomy. During more than a decade of development in LAPAROSCOPIC surgery a couple of controlled studies have been performed concerning this new approach. Findings indicate some advantages and some limitations. The goal of present study is to evaluate these findings. This is a prospective randomized case control clinical trial. Findings revealed less postoperative pain, earlier oral feeding (soft diet) and shorter postoperative hospital stay in LAPAROSCOPIC group. Also, no patient in this group developed wound infection.
