Abstract

Background and Aim: Lactate tolerance is one of the important points for all of the athletes, especially those in need of high anaerobic capacity. Therefore, the effect of different trainingpractices on lactate tolerance is important for athletic instructors. The aim of this study was toinvestigate and compare the maximal level of LACTIC ACID in EXHAUSTIVE PROTOCOLS in activeyoung men in the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili. Material and Method: In this semi-experimental study, 24 active students with an averageage of 23. 2 ± 0. 56 years, mean weight of 65 ± 3. 4 kg and body mass index of 22 ± 2. 2 kg /m2 were selected. They were randomly divided into four groups and in each group 30, 60, 90, 120 s ds’ ust d pr t l w r p r r d l d l t t w s sur d by tblood from the fingertips of the participants to estimate the maximum LACTIC ACID level in theprotocols at the end of each test. Data were analyzed by using one-way Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) and Bonferroni post hoc test. Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the maximumlevel of LACTIC ACID obtained from 30, 60, 90 and 120 seconds exhausting protocols (p <0. 05). Also, the results of Bonferroni post hoc test showed that there was a significant differencebetween the LACTIC ACID obtained from the 30 seconds protocol with the 60 seconds protocol, the maximum LACTIC ACID level in 30 seconds with 90 seconds and the maximum level of lacticd t pr t l r 30 s ds w t 120 s ds (p ≤ 0 05) I s qu t r sultsthe Bonferroni test showed no significant difference between the LACTIC ACID obtained from 60, 90 and 120 seconds protocols (p <0. 05). Conclusion: The results of this study showed that with the decreasing steps of the exhaustingprotocols, the maximum LACTIC ACID level is increased. Therefore, it can be concluded thatusing these protocols to estimate physiological indices should be questioned.
