Title

A REVIEW OF THE JABERI'S THOUGHT ON SHIISM

Pages

  7-36

Abstract

Muhammad Abed Jaberi, the contemporary thinker in Arabic Maghreb, regards the Shiite thought as originated from Hermes' views and (non-rational) GNOSTIC THOUGHTs. Using methods such as STRUCTURALISM and discourse and presenting historical evidences, he seeks to discover this relationship. Considering the fact that in Jaberi's view GNOSTIC THOUGHT is a great obstacle in reaching rationality and progress in Islamic world, mystical and Shiite thoughts and the like are factors of distortion in Islamic world. This article attempts to review this relationship and the results thereof.
