Abstract

Partially published in 1941 in the Journal Iran, in Teheran, THE BLIND OWL, Bouf-e Kour, of SADEGH HEDAYAT is translated into French, in France, in 1953 by ROGER LESCOT in Edition José Corti. It thanks to the TRANSLATION of ROGER LESCOT that Hedayat’s book is known and much admired by great French writers. In this research, we chose to rely on a comparative study of Blind Owl and its French TRANSLATION by examining a number of key features of the original text that were distorted in French TRANSLATION in both level of written as well as context. To this end, by using the software Lexico 3, we give examples of Persian and French version of THE BLIND OWL, examples whose TRANSLATION, sometimes, causes the distance from the original text. French: Une approche comparative entre La Chouette aveugle de SADEGH HEDAYAT et sa traduction en français par ROGER LESCOT Publiée partiellement en 1941 dans le Journal L’Iran, à Téhéran, La Chouette aveugle, Bouf-e Kour de SADEGH HEDAYAT est traduite en français, en France, en 1953, par ROGER LESCOT aux éditions José Corti. C’est grâce à la traduction de ROGER LESCOT que l’oeuvre de Hedayat est connue et tant admirée par de grands écrivains français. Dans ce travail de recherche, nous choisissons de nous appuyer sur une etude comparative entre La Chouette aveugle en persan et sa traduction en français, en examinant toute une série de caractéristiques principals du texte original qui ont été dénaturées dans la traduction en français aussi bien au niveau de la forme que sur celui du fond. Pour faire la synthèse de cette démarche, en utilisant le logiciel Lexico 3 nous avons relevé les exemples que nous avons tirés de La Chouette aveugle en persan et de sa version française, exemples dont la traduction entraîne parfois l’éloignement du texte d’origine.
