FUNCTIONAL AND FREQUENT VOCABULARIES IN FRENCH LANGUAGE METHOD ALTER EGO AND THEIR DEGREE OF ASSIMILATION AMONG IRANIAN LEARNERS

Abstract

 Foreign language learner at all levels seeks to develop his competence in general, and his lexical competence before all other competencies. The language teacher also, often seeks to ensure a better teaching. In order to, language teacher has a strong interest to slove the difficulties of his/ her learners in order to correct the lack presented by the main support she/ he uses. Thus, this finding has been the current starting point of this research. In this context, the aim of this paper is to identify FREQUENT AND FUNCTIONAL VOCABULARIES in the ALTER EGO. This may lead to locate the difficulty of using these vocabularies among IRANIAN LEARNERS. The result will so help the IRANIAN LEARNERS develop their lexical competence if it is embodied in the process of vocabulary teaching. In this article, a quantitative analysis of the frequent and functional vocabulary of ALTER EGO level A1 was performed. The degree of vocabularies ASSIMILATION of 40 Iranian adult learners level A1, presented in this method was then measured by closed, half- open and open tests. According to the results, we realized that IRANIAN LEARNERS assimilate and use functional vocabularies on the scale of "good".The observed results show that the problem is always at the most frequent grammatical words. French: Vocabulaires fonctionnels et fréquents dans la method de français ALTER EGO et leur degré d’assimilation chez les apprenants iraniens L'apprenant d'une langue étrangère, à tous les niveaux, cherche à développer sa compétence en général, sa compétence lexicale avant tout.L'enseignant de langues aussi, à son tour, cherche très souvent à assurer un meilleur enseignement. Ceci étant, il arrive encore fréquemment que l'enseignant manifeste un grand intérêt pour localiser les difficultés de ses apprenants afin de remédier au manque présenté par le support principal don’t il dispose. Ainsi donc, ce constat courant a constitué le point de départ de cette recherche. Dans cette optique, l’objectif de cet article est de relever les vocabulaires fréquents et fonctionnels dans la méthode ALTER EGO. Ce qui pourra ainsi aboutir à localiser la difficulté d’emploi de ces vocabulaires chez les apprenants iraniens. Le résultat aidera alors les apprenants iraniens à développer leur compétence lexicale s’il est appliqué dans la demarche d’enseignement du vocabulaire. Dans le présent article, une analyse quantitative du vocabulaire fréquent et fonctionnel du manuel ALTER EGO niveau A1 a été effectuée. Le degré d’assimilation des vocabulaires presents dans cette méthode a ensuite été mesuré par des tests fermés, mi- ouverts et ouverts chez 40 apprenants adultes iraniens du niveau A1. D’après les résultats obtenus, nous nous sommes rendu compte que les apprenants iraniens assimilent et emploient sur l’échelle de « bien » des vocabulaires fonctionnels.Une autre remarque sur les résultats observés nous montre que le problem reste toujours au niveau des mots grammaticaux les plus frequents.
