Abstract

Having discussed the history of defending HUMAN RIGHTS in ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN's FOREIGN POLICY, this article have studied two types of measures taken by FOREIGN POLICY system namely resorting to international organizations and individual measures. Then the position of defending HUMAN RIGHTS in the philosophy of sending prophets and establishment of an Islamic system has been mentioned. It has been proven that sending prophets and establishing a government is tightly linked to this important purpose. In addition, international legal system and the constitutional law of ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN are another support for this approach in FOREIGN POLICY in three fields; foundations, goals and principles of FOREIGN POLICY. ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN's FOREIGN POLICY principles including peace, peaceful coexistence and DEFENDING THE OPPRESSED are other supports for this approach in FOREIGN POLICY each of which has solid bases in Quran and Sunnah.
