Abstract

The Texture of old inefficient cities of a country often constitutes the first nucleus and its major cities of that country. These tissues have worn out and suffer from factors like physical and functional degeneration over time; lack of enough attention; and proper maintenance. The problems of these tissues are mostly social, cultural, economic, physical, structural and environmental. Thus this research focused on a form of a metropolitan area of Ahwaz metropolis (Nehzat Abad neighborhood of the 4th District). The process of inefficient urban texture performance in the framework of a sociological approach focusing on the organizing and urban regenerating based on social indicators was studied. The population of this study was selected using Cochran formula who were 360 people from Nehzat Abad and a questionnaire was randomly distributed among them. Then the SPSS software was used for statistical analysis of the results based on one-group sample T-test. The results of the analysis showed that the security component of residents’ enabling and their life quality increase (Lack of satisfaction with community social security and lack of satisfaction with neighborhood facilities) had increased the ineffectiveness of tissue and had made residents reluctant to revive them.
