Abstract

The key to success in city plans is the PARTICIPATION of all people in management. Today, this corporation is not seen in city management because of the rules which are fluctuating and the people who are unfamiliar with these regulations. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to assess how much people participate in city plans and the usefulness of such activities. To gain this goal, the descriptive and analytic method is used in this paper. The data are gathered based on the prescribed procedure and the research methodology. Population of households in Galugah in 2009 was estimated to be 5302 heads. Using the Cochran formula a total of 190 questionnaires were distributed to the sample. Distributing the questionnaires in each avenue was done randomly. The leading question was “how much people participate in city management and what is useful in encouraging them to PARTICIPATION in Overdeveloped and Serviceable Activities?” The results showed that the mean average of PARTICIPATION of people in municipal Overdeveloped and Serviceable Activities is very low. Testing the research hypothesis shows the PARTICIPATION depends on people's social - economical position. Running the Pearson Correlation on the relationship between CITIZEN individuals and ownership senses of people in each avenue to CITIZEN PARTICIPATION in municipal overdeveloped and serviceable activities submitted an acceptable coefficient. These results also show that there is a relationship between job, education, the time they have been living in an avenue and their PARTICIPATION as well.
