MICRO-ZONATION OF THE URBAN FLOOD RISK MODEL USING AHP (CASE STUDY: NAHAVAND CITY)

Abstract

 The most important factors in reducing the RISK of FLOODing are preparing the community in dealing with this phenomenon. This preparation includes having a clear plan for dealing with the disaster already made and planning for future coming up events. In this study preparation for dealing with crisis, utilizing AHP model using GIS software in action, according to RISK levels of FLOOD RISK places in NAHAVAND crisis in the region is studied. The results show that the model output of the 861 hectare area of the city of NAHAVAND 40.2 percent of the area with little RISK to no RISK and, 31.5% with average RISK while of 28.1 percent of the study area showed the RISK of high to very high percentage. Therefore, the need for more attention to urban planning and crisis management in the periods before, during and after the crisis is what the authorities require in this place.
