EXAMINING YOUNG GIRLS ADDICTION AND THE EDUCATIONAL ROLE OF POLICE WOMEN IN ITS PREVENTION

Abstract

 Drug abuse in any age may affect the individual capability and prevent them to have an effective role in society. However, young girls are vulnerable to the consequences of drug addiction and their addiction has had an increasing rate in recent years. In the present survey, authors used questionnaires to evaluate the opinion of 153 high school students about the educational role of POLICE WOMEN in preventing young girls from taking drugs. The results showed that: 1) POLICE WOMEN did not have effective role in preventing young girls from taking drugs; 2) POLICE WOMEN are reliable sources of gaining information and the best way for gaining information is conducting educational courses; 3) gaining information about drugs are essential for young girls but available sources to them are rare. However, results showed that the rates of drug use among participants are as follow: Ecstacy 21%, Crystal 12%, Hashish 6%, other drugs (opium, Heroin, Crack) 1% to 4%. It showed that police woman has preventive role in schools.
