Abstract

One of the duties of the police is crime prevention and they should have this belief that prevention is better than cure. This article investigates JUVENILE crime which is different than those of adults from various perspectives. For prevention of JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, practitioners should solve social roots of the problem. Some of the effective strategies are as followed: improving police structure, professionalization, education, consultation and children support.The main program of JUVENILE DELINQUENCY prevention should include the responsibility of organization and agencies and coordination between them, family’s role, society intervention, education, mass media, and law making. In this article, authors discuss the main strategies of JUVENILE DELINQUENCY prevention used by police.
