Abstract

 The aim of this study is the comparison of THE QUALITY OF WORK LIFE (QWL) and INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS among FACULTY MEMBERS of Guilan UNIVERSITY and Islamic Azad UNIVERSITY.This study is a descriptive research and field work was used for collecting the data. Statistical population includes all FACULTY MEMBERS of Guilan UNIVERSITY and Islamic Azad UNIVERSITY Rasht branch with a sample size of 241 people. Two questionnaires were used for gathering individuals’ information and the QWL (Walton pattern) for collecting the data. Furthermore, in this study descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inference statistics (Pierson’s correlation coefficient, variance analysis and T test) were used to analyze the data.The results illustrate that the mean of the QWL of FACULTY MEMBERS at Guilan UNIVERSITY is 54.02% and at Islamic Azad UNIVERSITY 50.42%. There is a meaningful relation between the age and the teaching experience of the FACULTY MEMBERS and QWL at both universities.In the gender variable, there is a meaningful difference in social dependence among the FACULTY MEMBERS at both universities. In regards to the married variable, there is a meaningful difference between the QWL and its dimensions among the FACULTY MEMBERS of both universities.
