Abstract: 

One of the most basic goals of applied Sience-tecnology universities in order for students to find jobs and meet market requirements is the transference and improvement of work knowledge and technology, and creating work skills and capabilities in people. Such trainings started in Mazandaran province since 1996 and by the end of 2005 had as many as 1673 graduates who received Associate's degrees. The main purpose of this research is investigation into employment conditions of these graduated students. In this research, employers and students points of view have been studied. Analysis of results shows that 78.5 % of these students got employed and 21.5 % are still unemployed. It has also been shown that studying in applied sience-tecnology universities led to job improvements for the graduates who were already employed, and created job opportunity for the unemployed group. Also, there is a significant relationship between students' field of study and the kind of their job. However, no significant relationship has been found between employers expectations, and the applied sience-tecnology university skill level of graduated student.

Abstract: 

In this paper the effects of socio-economic status and family background on total mark of candidates is analyzed. This analysis contains the degree of effectiveness of socio-economic status which includes parents’ education level, father's job, and the incomes of family with respect to gender, province and the applicants’ examination group.The data was gathered from NOET documents and a questionnaire with a sample size of 663,630 applicants in three examination groups (empirical science, human sciences, mathematics and physics) who had sat in exams. In addition, the sample was restricted to applicants who had obtained their diploma in 2008 and the examination group of their diploma being mathematics. Multi-leveled models were used for data analysis. The analyses show that socio-economic status increases the total mark of applicants and there are significant differences between the total mark of men and women in human and empirical sciences group, but there are not any differences in mathematics and physics group. The families with higher socio-economic status encourage their children to study in empirical science and mathematics and physics. Finally socio-economic status, in order, has more effects on total marks in mathematics and physics, empirical science and human sciences.

Abstract: 

The world we live in includes a wide range of races, ethnic groups and cultures, and teaching students belonging to these various backgrounds has difficulties and complexities in abundance. Efficiency of education systems in culturally diverse communities depends on multiple factors. One of these important factors is teachers who for being successful in teaching in a multicultural society must acquire familiarity with the fundamentals of multicultural education. Hence, Teacher Training Centers with their acceptance of cultural diversity issues and the need for multicultural education in the country’s education system need to make effort to train future teachers with knowledge, vision, and the necessary skills to achieve their goal of multicultural education in schools. How and to what extent this multicultural education is in reality put into practice and emphasized in administrative and teaching mechanisms, course content and curriculum in Teacher Training Centers causes significant reflection. Thus, with the aim of assessing multicultural education in Teacher Training Centers in Sanandaj, a descriptive survey research was carried out. The study sample size includes all students at Teacher Training Centers in Sanandaj and was conducted in the academic year 1387-1388. 324 people of the study sample were selected according to Cochrane Sampling Method and stratified random sampling. Data was gathered using a research questionnaire and context analysis of textbooks in general and shared courses and their compliance with the principles of multicultural education. The reliability coefficient was calculated using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and estimated at 0.902. In order to analyze the data obtained from the questionnaire, t statistical method and single sample t test were used. The analyzed results illustrate that from the viewpoint of students multicultural education does not have a proper place in Teacher Training Centers. Instructors in Teacher Training Centers do not pay much attention to multicultural education concepts and issues in their learning. Content analysis of textbooks also found that Teacher Training Centers paid little attention to multicultural education concepts in their curriculum content.

Abstract: 

The main objective of the present descriptive-analytical study was to illustrate whether women’s employment and their tendency to have an active social working life is related to their level of higher education. To achieve this end a sample of 300 was randomly selected from among the target population of women who had graduated from post-graduate study programs in the city of Isfahan. The instrument for collecting data was a researcher developed questionnaire, the items of which tapped the role of higher education in women’s employment and promotion of their career. The reliability of the questionnaire was 90%. Both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques such as chi square t-test and one way ANOVA were used for analyzing the data. The findings revealed that women with degrees at higher educational levels enjoyed better job positions. It was also found that higher education plays a key role in employment and promotion of women in their working life.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to examine the multivariate determination of the relationship between strategic management process and intellectual capital components at Isfahan state universities. The research questions were examined while considering strategic management process and intellectual capital components. The research method was descriptive, correlation type. The statistical population consisted of 1,472 faculty members of Isfahan state universities in the academic year 89-90. 64, 90 and 51 faculty members were chosen through stratified random sampling from Isfahan University, Medical Science University and Industrial University, respectively. The information gathering tools were strategic management process and intellectual capital component questionnaires with 67 and 35 items respectively. Through the use of Cronbach alpha coefficient, reliability coefficient of 0/85 was obtained for the strategic management questionnaire and 0/93 for the intellectual capital component questionnaire. The analysis of data was performed at two levels: descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential one statistics (Regression and Manova and Structural Model).The findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between the strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation with human capital and structural capital but there isn’t a positive relationship between the strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation with customer capital. The findings further revealed that there are significant and positive relationships between strategy formulation and strategy evaluation with all intellectual capital components, but the strategy implementation and intellectual capital component relation was not significant. On the whole the effect of strategic management process on intellectual capital component was significant (Gamma: 0/91).

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate faculty attitudes about Knowledge sharing in higher educational institutions. A descriptive-correlation and causal- comparative method was used for this study. Target population of this study was 197 full-time university faculty members (N=197) in the college of agriculture and natural resources at Tehran University. 130 faculties (n=130) were selected by using statistical sampling in a stratified randomization method. Data was collected through a questionnaire which was used as a research tool. The content of the questionnaire was validated by a panel of faculty members from College of Agriculture, Tehran University and Tarbiat Modares University. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.89. Results of analysis regarding attitudes about knowledge sharing showed that the majority of faculty members in the college of agriculture (%71), and college of natural resources (%80) were favorable toward knowledge sharing. According to the study, there were significant relationships between culture, structure of college, ICT, social trust, relational social capital, and team work with the dependent variable (attitude toward knowledge sharing). Results of the regression analysis has also identified that the stated factors could play a role in 50 % of the attitudes toward knowledge sharing.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study is the comparison of the quality of work life (QWL) and individual characteristics among faculty members of Guilan University and Islamic Azad University.This study is a descriptive research and field work was used for collecting the data. Statistical population includes all faculty members of Guilan University and Islamic Azad university Rasht branch with a sample size of 241 people. Two questionnaires were used for gathering individuals’ information and the QWL (Walton pattern) for collecting the data. Furthermore, in this study descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inference statistics (Pierson’s correlation coefficient, variance analysis and T test) were used to analyze the data.The results illustrate that the mean of the QWL of faculty members at Guilan University is 54.02% and at Islamic Azad University 50.42%. There is a meaningful relation between the age and the teaching experience of the faculty members and QWL at both universities.In the gender variable, there is a meaningful difference in social dependence among the faculty members at both universities. In regards to the married variable, there is a meaningful difference between the QWL and its dimensions among the faculty members of both universities.
