Introducing "Zikr" as an Islamic self-regulation structure

Abstract

 The purpose of this study is to explore an important and new subject of psychology called self-regulation in Islamic education and to explain and introduce Zikr as a model of Islamic self-regulation.The method of this study is fundamental and library method is used to collect data. self-regulation as an effective psychological mechanism in reducing psychological and physical injuries of people has been noticed by great scientists and Various theories and studies have been published to explain this psychological structure. Considering its effectiveness in human health and the similarity of some Islamic concepts with self-regulation, a number of internal studies have introduced Islamic models of self-regulation. Among the concepts that have been introduced and explained in this field, we can mention Saber, Helm,Doa, Salat, Taqva,...But it seems that none of the introduced valuable concepts have the necessary and sufficient comprehensiveness, or their compatibility with contemporary self-regulation models has not been well explained.In this article, the term Zikr has been introduced as an alternative and Islamic model of self-regulation, and some of its overlaps, similarities and correspondences with common theories of self-regulation have been examined and compared. The result of this study indicates that Zikr can be introduced as an Islamic self-regulation method
