Abstract

Introduction: The aim of this study was to predict obsessive-compulsive disorder in the Corona Epidemic based on Rumination among the students of Islamic Azad University of Tafarsh Branch.Materials and Methods: This research was cross-sectional in terms of time, due to the fact that it was carried out in 1401, and in terms of depth, it is a wide-ranging research, and in terms of the executive criteria of applied research, in terms of gathering information, it is considered one of the documentary and field research methods. The statistical population included all the students of Islamic Azad University of Tafarsh branch in the academic year of 1401-1401, whose number was 581 according to the statistics obtained from the university education officials. The statistical sample consisted of 231 members of the mentioned statistical population, and in order to determine it, Morgan’s table was used, and this number was selected by available sampling method due to the spread of the corona virus. The data collection tool was Madsley’s (1997) practical obsessive compulsive questionnaire and Nolen Hoeksma and Marlow’s (1991) Rumination questionnaire (RRS).The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 25 software, and the mean and standard deviation were calculated using descriptive statistics, and the data were analyzed using inferential statistics using the multiple regression method using the simultaneous method and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Done. Results: The findings indicate that symptomatology, introversion, and self-blame have a positive and significant relationship with obsessive-compulsive disorder with regression coefficients of (0.238, 0.303, and 0.266), respectively.Concolusion: Therefore, it was concluded that Rumination (significance, introversion and self-condemnation) can predict obsessive-compulsive disorder in the Corona Epidemic among students of Islamic Azad University, Tafarsh branch.
