Abstract

Despite advances in medical treatments, obesity continues to rise at an alarming rate. Bariatric surgery has emerged as the most effective intervention for managing Morbid obesity and its associated co-morbidities. Among these surgical methods, laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy has proven particularly successful in addressing significant weight loss and improving conditions such as hyperlipidemia, diabetes, hypertension, and sleep apnea. This article highlights the importance and effectiveness of Sleeve Gastrectomy in a unique case involving a patient with a history of Kidney Transplantation, demonstrating its potential benefits in patients with complex medical backgrounds. The findings underscore the vital role of Bariatric surgery in the comprehensive treatment of obesity and related conditions, especially in high-risk individuals.
