Abstract

Managing knowledge capitals and organizational mental abilities, and its strategic concepts have been considered as important elements of organizational survival and maintain its competitive position in the present era. In knowledge based organizations (KBOs), knowledge is the most important organization capital, and organizational success depends on their ability in creating, acquiring, implementing and transferring the knowledge and INTELLECTUAL CAPITALS. Thus for using the opportunities in a dynamic environment and obtaining competitive advantages, organizations should manage their knowledge resources and mental abilities effectively. Based on Alberkht (2010) organizational intelligence (OI) is defined as 'the use of the intellectual ability of the organization to achieve the organization's mission and objectives in a competitive environment'. The purpose of this study is to determine the effective factors in the competitive advantage of knowledge-based organizations (KBOs) based on organizational intelligence (OI). Unit of analysis and statistical population of this study included the professors and faculty members of universities in LORESTAN province, The sample size based on a rule to perform confirmatory factor analysis (FA) determined as 330 people. Analysis of the findings in the part of the structural model, showed that 46 percent of competitive advantage in KBOs explained through organizational intelligence structure. Moreover, KNOWLEDGE COMMUNITIES and knowledge strategies with coefficients of 0.29 and 0.25, arc respectively considered as the most important factors which have the highest effect on the organizational intelligence.
