Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of studying Representation of happiness in family series of IRIB TV during 1991 to 2015 Based on the social learning theory in the observational learning point of view. The research method was quantitative analysis using descriptive techniques. At first, the scale of the Representation of happiness was designed, based on the Islamic model of happiness, then seven series were selected purposefully with popularity and impact criteria, and according to the nature of happiness in the Islamic pattern. Then 677 scenes were selected as the final samples, using random stratified sampling. The registration unit was acting. The research had two main categories: Satisfaction and Vitality. The results showed that Satisfaction had the lowest and the subcategory of worldly pleasures of the category of Vitality, had the highest Representation. Negative actions were also presented in the category of Satisfaction and the category of spiritual pleasures, then these 7 series did not represent the true image of happiness in Islam, according to the Islamic model of happiness, which seeks to achieve happiness in reducing negative actions against positive actions in pleasant and unpleasant situations, and the balance between enjoyment of worldly and spiritual pleasures.
